I'm going to get some rest too. This team drove me nuts all season long.

JJ and Bibby definetely shouldn't see the floor the rest of the season unless they want to get a few mns just to stay in rhythm.

Salim/Rio/Solo/J-Rich all need to play at least 30 minutes tommorow.

Knowing Woodson Joe will play 47 minutes.

But I hope none of the main 6 play more than 20-25 minutes except maybe Marvin. Maybe it would give him some confidence to have a big game or two. I'm kind of excited to see our bench play a lot of minutes. I could definitely see J-Rich having a game like he did in the D-League against Miami since they're basically a D-League team.

Bibby definitely shouldn't play in the last 2 games. That thumb injury can easily be re-aggravated as we saw in the Milwaukee game.

I think Joe should play about 10-15 minutes a game and I wouldn't mind if he took the Miami game off. It would be cool if he played all 82 games though. Smith/Marvin/Chil should all get about 20 minutes. Horford should get regular minutes IMO...I would like to see what he can do with more touches as said in the original post.

Law should play no less than 60 total minutes in these last two games. Solo should definitely get some minutes as well. Hopefully Woody decides to completely ignore the foul situations and just get's players their minutes. I would like to see Salim play more but we all know he's going to shoot every time he touches the ball which I'm not looking forward to.

I do have a feeling tat Woody is going to play the Orlando game like a regular game for some reason. He's just that dumb. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I want the rest but I still want a win vs Orlando somehow, i guess it'll be a chess match with them and our team on how key players are in.

Haha you're almost right, only 1 minute off. 48 minutes for Bibby, JJ, Marvin, Smoove and Horford.

With a thought that just making the playoffs might not be enough to get Woodson an extension, he might try to better the regular season record at all costs.

The other possibility is that he tries to focus on stealing one series and as such he rests the starters in prep.

Personally, what I would do is emulate Boston and play the starters a little more than half the game against Orlando (25 minutes each). Then against Miami I would basically play the starters 1 quarter and then work with the bench the rest of the way.

Don't play starters that already have an injury... this is a perfect opportunity to rest Bibby and other players that are playing through pain.
I'd be shocked if I don't see a 9-10 players (none of that 30 sec or 2 minutes cameo crap) rotation in this game.

Yes... rest basically mean about 24 minutes in Woody system.

Unless they feel it will hurt their rhytm, I see no reason to play JJ or Bibs another second until Game 1. We have basically been playing 7 guys for over a month with those two going 40-48 minutes every single night. They need to rest those legs as much as they can, because they will likely have to play similar minutes in the Boston series.

Woody's idea of "rest" is playing 9 players(what most regular coaches do)and playing 3 starters nearly the entire 4th when the other team runs with a lineup of Dooling/Redick/Evans/Garrity/Foyle. Law also didn't even get 20 minutes despite playing well.

He get's an F for the Orlando game.

^yeah... and what's his deal with Childress? Is he dating his daughter? We know what he can do; 14 of his minutes should be given to the bench

Woody plays a total of 8 players against the Heat until he realized it was over the last 2 minutes. Law played under 20 minutes(actually combined) despite an 11 point 4 assist no turnover performance which was followed by 2 garbage time minutes vs an NBDL team. NO meaningful minutes for West/Richardson/Solo in two meaningless games.

So in summary, Woody lost 3 games in which the other teams had their starters on the bench and while have 3-4 starters(plus Chil)in the game during the 4th quarter. We didn't "gain any momentum" (BTW how the hell do you gain momentum by winning against other teams backups?),we didn't get to see what our bench can do in a regular game, and all while our 1st round opponents played ALL their starters under 20 total minutes in a 2 game span while their bench played extended minutes and basically won all their games down the stretch.

The only "momentum" the Hawks could have possibly had is if the starters left on a positive note by playing even with Boston's starters or if our bench was able to play well in these last 2 games. Our top 6 owners actually got OWNED by Orlando's 2nd team and one fot he worst rosters in NBA history in a game where they actually tried to win. Woody get's a definitive F-.
