Against the Celtics? Deke would be a thought but my first plan would be 'Nique, because no one on the Hawks is a consistent or talented enough scorer to really go at the best defense in the league. JJ isn't dangerous enough as a volume, take-over scorer and Josh Smith certainly isn't a wise or particularly intelligent scorer yet, he's still young and jumper-happy.

So yeah, I'd go 'Nique.

Or, you know, Bob Pettit.

You could go for Doc. But since Rivers is currently coaching Boston, having two Docs opposing one another might create a rift in the time-space continuum and obliterate everything in the universe.

On the other hand the pair-o-Docs paradox could also open a stable temporal wormhole...

...in which case you could send Tree Rollins back in time to last June to bite Danny Ainge again. A severe enough bite would stop Ainge from making the Allen and Garnett acquisitions and allow the Hawks to go against a greatly depleted Celtics roster.

Just a thought.

Excellent work Gant!

Now that we broached time travel, is there any way the the Delorean can take us back to the 2005 draft by chance? And how would that affect space fabric? Who would ESPN analysts be nagging then?

Thank you. The Delorean is actually just fiction and will not work. You have to use a VW Beetle pre 1970, with accoutrements still in the glove compartment.

The correct answer to the question by the way, is Bob Petit.

Well if we're getting time travel I end this discussion with Dr. J. Because he should have been ours and the good Dr. would be a nightmare in his prime.
If it counts luck is worth the same as skill

Awesome, I'm not the only one who thought of him... :D He's got the rebounding, the scoring, everything.
