Did anyone else cry when
The Hawks clinched? I was actually watching the Pacers/Wiz....with about 10 seconds left in the game.....I had a weird feeling of relief. Felt like there was a huge monkey on my back that was lifted off. I guess when you watch almost every Hawks game and check the boxscores and read all the articles it can get to you after 9 years of losing. I'm just really excited that we finally made it...the national coverage and just the intensity of playoff ball.....I love it.

Its nice to be in the playoffs but I'm not going to get too excited until I'm happy with the overall situation of the team. I've said before that I don't see this squad winning the chip, no superduperstars. I would like to see a squad that can consistently win 50 games in a season and I think that the core of Joe/Josh/Al can do that with the right supporting peices and coaching.
Anyway, I'd be lying if I said I'm not enjoying it a little but it isn't something I get absolutely giddy about.

^^^ We can become that type of team this summer. We have our PG, and now our starting lineup can compete with most anyone. What we need to do this summer is get a new coach (gonna happen) and sign 2 pieces to come off the bench (a defensive stopper and a shooting specialist).
If we do those things, and it is not asking that much at all, we will have a shot to win 45-50 games next year as the young guys continue to progress.
