I have read posts on the Boston board from some key posters over here conceding defeat, and thus, fueling this Celtics "sweep" fire.
I am going to say this to my Hawks fans....yes, we've lost some close ones that we should have won. Yes, we have committed silly turnovers. Yes, Woody's an idiot....and at times he looks confused. But we have NOT seen him coach a playoff game and we have not seen our players play in a playoff atmosphere, so in all fairness, give the guys a chance to see if we can will this team to victory. How many victories? Let's wait and see. I am taking that approach from here on out.
Yes, I have questioned our chances....but I have done it on this board only.
I'm just saying....let's rally behind our team. Let the chips fall where the may.
This is a new season.
Rise up Atlanta!

Plus I have found respect in Woody, just because he said that line about "as soon as we win the title this year", that is awesome. I am behind him on that line.
If we do that, then I wouldn't mind having Mr. Potato Head back.

If Woodson can coach his butt off and lead the team to an upset of the Celtics, I think he gets an extension. If he doesn't, he gets shown the door.
I don't really like Woodson as a coach, but I'm fine with either outcome. If the Hawks pull the big upset he should get rewarded (it's that big of an upset). However he is starting so far in the hole I don't think a nice showing will overcome the track record he's got.
P.S. once he shaves that head someone on the team should give him a little black bowler like Mr. Potato Head.
