If I had three future HOF'ers on my team I would also be pretty cocky. The Boston history also is one of the reason why Boston fans act the way they do. However, I see no problem with the way they've acted thus far, because they did win 66 games, and much respect to the organization for putting that team together. It would possibly be different if this team played for the West, but they play for the less talented East, and have been expecting to play for the Championship even before the season started.

This is the NBA..would you really be surprised to see the Hawks win a game in Atlanta? I understand that the Hawks are the worst team to make the playoffs but they actually played very well at home this year(even in some of the games they lost to like Detroit/Boston/Houston). It seems like you guys are a very insecure fan base to say the least.
The experts are just looking at the facts. The Celtics have won 66 games and the Hawks have won 37. Plus Boston has swept Atlanta this season.
We aren't insecure. We are just confident because we are the best defensive team in the league, Have 3 all stars and a good bench.

I agree with this, virtually all of my interaction with the Boston fans have been positive.

this is better for the Hawks than if the Cs and their fans where being respectful (regardless how polite you say "sweep"). guys in the locker room can either get pumped or discouraged, but these guys grew up together and now are finally in the playoffs. the young guys have been through alot together, and now they have to deal with the Cs and their fans, together. in a sence this isn't a big step, just another step the team has to face.

i have no problems with celtics fans thinking they will win BUT i dont see why experts dont think the hawks can win 1 or 2 freaking games. i hear "the hawks have no shot at winning a game".
also i hear "i bench beat your starters at the end of the season" thats bs, it was a fresh boston bench vs a tired hawks starter PLUS didnt josh smith foul out? so your telling me, when the game is tied in the middle of the 3rd quarter that boston should sit the big 3. people ignore the fact that we kept up(i think outscored) bostons starting starters but that never gets mentioned.

And I think someone posted a stat where Boston has only lost to one sub 500 team ALL YEAR.
Not to mention how abysmal the Hawks have played on the road, how fired up Boston will be with the hungry Big 3, the calls they will get from refs, etc.
As much as Im proud of this team after watching them grow up, Im scared as heck we are going to get destroyed.
That KG Gatorade commercial just sends chills. He's going to be incredibly fired up.
Man I hope we can stay within 15 points in the opening game

All the pressure is on Boston....not us! We are flying way under the radar.
No media blitz/hype/interviews....all the more time to focus on what's at hand.
Meanwhile ESPN has a Sunday Conversation, TNT is running on about how Boston will sweep, Gatorade has them winning it all before one second is played.
Hopefully our Hawks aren't fazed and play "pressure free" basketball because many feel we dont deserve to be there in the first place.
