Atlanta Hawks named amongst worst franchises in pro sports

When I saw the article's headline, I had no doubt ATL would make the list at least once.

With our ownership squabbles, our losing record, fickle fanbase and history of futility I have to say I agree, wholeheartedly.

I'm kind of surprised the Falcons didn't get mentioned.

Well, it's one of those things that we deserve, but yet we're moving away from the past, and at some point will gain some well earned respect.

"we" don't deserve this. The Atlanta Hawks do however. I don't care what anyone says I'm a good fan......I've supported this team from Jon Koncak......thru Adam Keefe......thru Shelden Williams.......and what have they given me and you? 3 great home playoff games and 4 road blowouts....yes they are one of the worst sports franchises in the world....but they're my team.

If you have been a fan since Jon Koncak and Adam Keefe, they have given you a hell of alot more than 3 home playoff games and 4 road blowouts.

That's in obivious reference to this year Rip. I doubt they were called one of the worst Franchises in sports after 1985 and prior to 1997. They've only reached the doldrums in the last decade or so. What's up with everybody being asses on this board lately?

I remember going to Hawks games from NC before 1997 when you had the Mookie, Steve Smith, Dikembe, Laetner team and those home game were empty and half dead.
