Nice read. Who would you put on the No-Defense team?

Its wierd that he doesn't use stats for Nash being the worst defender in the league but uses stats for everyone else.

Interestingly enough, the stats say Nash has very little impact defensively one way or another.

The team does better defensively with Nash than it does with Barbosa or Banks. I don't really know the reason but I'd be interested to find out why.

Nash has never been as bad a defender as he is made out to be. he has good size and quickness. But his defense looks bad in relation to his offense, and he may be slowing down a bit with age.

When you consider that they play at a fast pace his opponents produciton really isn't that high.

It is surprising that Gay isn't a better defender with his length, speed and hops.

This guy puts a lot of emphasis on steals and blocks so with that in mind i guess Bruce Bowen has never been a good defender.

Nash is severly underrated defensively. people call him a horrible defeder due to box scores and ignore that he has a big(well...now two) that doesn't show at all on pick and rolls. its not like guys are just blowing by him off the dribble, there are screens where they are wide open to drive or shoot.

Often times also, the best perimeter offensive threat isn't covered by Nash.

He isn't a good defender, mind you. He is about average to around the league. he can draw charges, and he puts pressure on the ball. Just not a defensive stopper by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm surprised Wally Szczerbiak didn't make the list.
