I really wouldn't mind if Speedy played for us. It's not that I think he sucks either. I just don't love the fact that we've payed him so much when he hasn't really contributed anything to this team now. He's taking up so much cap space...

KB, can you confirm a thing please ?

Is there a chance to see Speedy retiring and his salary for 2009-10 not counting ?
I would think that if he says he decide to retire this summer, it would be the case, but what happens if he is able to play in pre-season and/or in the beginning of the regular season, then says he decides to stop ?

I believe that as long as he plays fewer than 10 games then as soon as he decides to retire then he would immediately come off of the Hawks cap.
