Who cares who started it? We didn't seem to care when Horford got in Pierce's grill and talked smack to him whie he was lying on the ground.

I guarantee if Zaza does that to KG he is applauded on this board.

1. No one here really "defended" Horford taunting Pierce.

2.The people who did defend it defended it because they assume Horford was responding to earlier trash talk. That has nothing to do with setting a screen in the backcourt when you're up 30. I don't care if the pick was almost legal or not. It was unnecessary and intentional.

I've rooted against the Celtics all season, why would I stop now? I don't like the hype machine. Now they're playing the former hype machine, the Cleveland LeBrons aka The Cavs. I'm definitely pulling for the Cavaliers. I like the makeup of their team. I've always liked Big Z's game. Big Ben has really declined and he hasn't done much, but he's effective on D. Wally World is one of my favorite players in the league, and I know about his and KG's beef. He was traded away from the Celtics in the Ray Allen trade, and we all know that KG wouldn't accept a trade to the Celtics unless Wally was dealt because of their past in Minnesota. He didn't want Wally, but wanted Cassell, which is why I'd love to see Wally scorch the Celtics. Delonte West is another guy that has a bone to pick with the Celtics, as he was dealt as well. I like the hustle game of Varejao, though he annoys me with his flopping. I think Joe Smith can still hoop, he could definitely make my team. He's another former Garnett teammate!!

Lets go Cavs. Stop the hype machine, as you were once the hype machine. I hope Stern doesn't rig this one :banghead:

Well, that's the thing. If it turns out that the Hawks gave the eventual champions their stiffest competition...then the Hawks weren't such a "vastly inferior" team after all, and the Celtics needed to squeeze every bit of arrogance and aggression to get past them...because surprise-surprise the Hawks were genuinely really ******* good...and that would be something to hang your hat on, not be bitter about.

Cavs came a wee bit closer in their Game 7, but you guys still gave the Celtics a genuine scare unlike the Pistons and Lakers. You all should be proud of taking the eventual champs to the limit. Good luck next season, I'll be half-hoping for and half-fearing a playoffs re-match.

Appreciate the well-wishes, but hope if we meet again it isn't in round 1.
