Sasha Kaun is about the only guy left that really stands out to me.
Darnell Jackson I guess would qualify as a solid rebounding PF, I just don't think he will make it.

Sasha Kaun supposedly has a lucrative offer from a team in Russia, so whomever drafts him is just hoping for the distant future. At least that's what I heard.
Update - Sasha Kaun signed a 3 year deal with CSKA Moscow. Perhaps he took David Andersen's roster spot.

Wondering what got him kicked off the Iowa State team though?

Kaun still got picked.
So the Hawks COULD have gotten Jordan for 2 2nd round picks.

As expected this was a very boring draft.

Pat Calathes is about the only guy at this point I am hoping goes undrafted... but he doesn't at all seem like Woodson's kind of player so it doesn't really matter I guess.

I'm pretty curious to see how much Cash it took on top of the 2 second round picks to get Chalmers. Though at this point we won't ever hear that number. Miami has the Philly and Indy second round picks next year I think.

And cash. That was probably the deal breaker.
But yes, we could have gotten Jordan or Chalmers or Walker, or Dorsey for 2 future 2nd. I'm going to remember that as I watch the short rotation next year and worry about whether the starter can hold up all year.

I agree with you on Calathes. He's 6'10 with shooting range and good passing skills. He could help us with that skill set, but he doesn't seem like a guy that Woodson would play.

LOL-I bet Walker becomes a good player like Powe and Gomes(and big baby had a decent year for a 2nd rounder). Walker was traded for cash and the Twolves traded the pick that could have landed Jordan for 2 2nd rounders. The 2nd stage(the 1st being our coaching "evaluation") to what will be a very boring and conservative offseason.

Re: Draft night is almost here
My predraft list of hopes for undrafted status:
Sean Singletary (Short, fast PG)
Chris Lofton (might be an undersized 2, but I would love for him to get a chance)
Bryce Taylor (explosive SG, hoping for a slip)
Keith Brumbaugh (high risk, high reward SG/SF. A lot of raw talent)
Shan Foster (SG with range)
Pat Calathes (Tall SF with an outside shot)
Josh Duncan (PF, not the bulkiest but has talent)
David Padgett (not great health history, but has skills at C)
Singletary and Foster are gone, but the rest are still out there. I'll be disappointed if we don't bring at least 2 of them in. Add James Mays as an athletic F and DeMarcus Nelson as a tough G to the list of possible tryouts.
Edit -
We need a cheap 3rd PG which could be Lofton and Calathes could give us a long range bomber with height. Padgett could give us a skilled big for the bench if healthy. This are insurance players and end of the bench development. To upgrade our rotation we have to be willing to use the MLE and maybe the LLE because our depth will have trouble making through the season healthy.

I can't really criticize Sund for not making those trades. It very well could have just come down to the fact that the other teams were willing to pay more cash than the ASG were. Ha... I wonder if the Hawks could have preempted any talk about them not matching for Smith by going out and buying a pick. Maybe no one would have bothered to make an offer and the Hawks could have gotten Smith at a discount by spending a little more money tonight. The way it went I sure don't see why any team would fear signing a Hawks player to an offer sheet.

Interesting thought. I tortured myself by looking at what we could have done all night, but I didn't expect anything to happen. If for no other reason I suspected that the ASG couldn't decide anything in a timely enough fashion to make a move on draft night. Until I hear otherwise I suspect that we are still run by an group that has to agree before moving forward on important decisions.

Re: Draft night is almost here
I'm not too upset about not buying into this draft. Obviously its always nice to be able to grab a talented player for nothing/very little but there aren't too many rookies that are impact players right away, especially as consistent frontcourt defenders or deep shooters. Of course we still have to make moves via trades or FA and I don't see that happening.
Portland is absolutely absurd. They are beggining to remind me of the 80s Celtics with a lottery level talent at every position.
I don't thin Orlando improved too much, although they didn't have to. Charlotte's offseason will be defined by who they get for Felton, but they don't concern me overmuch. Washington burned a pick for all intents and purposes. Miami is the one I'm concerned about, they had a perfect draft as far as I'm concerned.
What the hell is going on in GSW by the way? Didn't they pick a 75lb frontcourt player last season?
I'm also really confused by Milwaukee, they made what seems like a "win-now" and grabbed Jefferson but followed it up by selecting 2 upside players at the same position. I would have probably snagged Augustin and looked to move Mo Williams to Miami for Haslem, he really doesn't fit there any more - they need a real distributor.
