Hawks vs. Raptors - Nov. 7th: Little Help?

Post#1 » by Cassius » Sat Sep 27, 2008 12:15 am

Hey guys,

I'm an international student (from Canada) studying in Nashville.

I'm planning to make the drive to the A for this game, just wondering if you can provide some tips for buying scalper tickets or other means to get a good, low level seat for $50 or less.

Thanks for your help.

Stubhub.com

I see there are already some good values there for Atlanta tickets. I do believe there are some commission cost that will need to be paid by the buyer. However, sign up for the following if you plan on purchasing any tickets from stubhub.....

http://www.fatwallet.com

Once signed up go to "cash back & coupons"....

Click "S" go to stubhub and you will notice that you can receive 4% cash back on purchases at stubhub. Click the 4% link and only purchase from stubhub if your signed into your fatwallet account. The cash back money will be placed within your fatwallet account and you can request the money by several options once the transaction at stubhub has been made. It'll help you with the shipping cost at stubhub (commission) that will need to be paid.

Or just wait things out and look at other ticket sites or ebay. Other ticket sites are on fatwallet also so you can get cash back.

Thanks man... from watching games it doesn't seem like you guys sell out a lot, would buying scalper tickets the night of the game still be a bad idea?

Actually, a better question would be how tough security is on moving to closer seats midway through the game.

Actually, the advice to shop online is pretty good. I've gotten some good tickets (I once got 2 right behind the players for 1/3 of the regular price) that way.

Buuuuuut, if you want, you can try to wait out the scalpers. Right before gametime, I've had scalpers offer me better tickets than what I had for less than what I paid.

But the online agents drop their prices, as well, the closer to the day of the game you get.

I've only managed to move up one time and that was late in the 4th period when the game was over. I think it's going to be kinda hard.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Great to know.

I was a bit skeptical that the the online agents would have some of the best prices but from what you've added, it looks like HMFFL know's what he's talking about.

I'll keep my eye on the sites.

Thanks guys... keep an eye out for the ubnoxious, (handsome - lol) guy with a big Canadian flag congratulating Josh Smith on getting almost 30 million less than Iguoudala.

Good luck!
