1. Brent Barry? Isn't he the guy the Spurs let go to the Rockets this offseason? You're saying that as Barry goes, the Spurs go? Are you serious? Didn't I already quote Pop saying that if Manu isn't playing well, they might as well pack up and go home in the playoffs?
2. I don't think Detroit has a #1 option though Rip scores the most. Even if Rip is a #1 option, he isn't a normal #1 option like a Kobe or Lebron. The Pistons play too well together to say who is the #1 option. And yea, I saw how Detroit set up shots for Rip against the Celtics and failed.
3. Vince, AI, JJ are closer to Kobe than Manu? Is that why ESPN said that Manu is as good as Kobe during the regular season(which I disagreed). Manu is a better winner than all 3 of them combined. Let me know when either of those win something besides leading teams to the lottery and don't bring Duncan in here either because Manu has won every he's been and he is the only player out of the SGs we mentioned who raised his scoring average in the playoffs.
4. I am not saying that Duncan and Parker don't have any effects. Of course they affect Manu's numbers. However, I believe Manu can still put up identical numbers without Duncan and Parker. Hell, I'd say Parker is a negative for Manu because defenders play off of Parker and double Manu sometimes. Manu would even be better if he had someone like Fisher or Bibby to will knock down open jumpers consistently.
5. Shaq in his prime is better than Duncan. Numbers might be close but Shaq the impact is different. Teams focused on stopping Shaq and GMs/coaches voted every in surveys that proclaim Shaq as the hardest player to stop.
6. I talk like Palin? I don't even know how she talks because she's a dumbass and I don't watch her.
Your argument is that Manu isn't as good as he is without Duncan but I have said that Manu is the #1 option on the best FIBA team(IMO) in the world.
And please, post that Duncan+JJ, AI, or Vince would be one of the greatest teams of all time in player comparison board. Hell, I am heading out there now and post it. Go to the Players comparison board.

1. i know you love to say "Pop said how Manu goes, so goes the Spurs",..... but you fail to remember that he said that at the end of the season after the Barry trade.
2. "I saw how Detroit set up shots for Rip against the Celtics and failed"..... yep and the Celtics did the same thing to Kobe and Manu..... i don't know where you are going with this?
3. "Manu is a better winner than all 3 of them combined" "don't bring Duncan in here either because Manu has won every he's been and he is the only player out of the SGs we mentioned who raised his scoring average in the playoffs".... you really hate to admit how good Duncan is, don't you.... so are you actually asserting that if you take Duncan out of the Spurs, that Manu will still get his championships???!!!
5. the Shaq/Duncan discussion is going to be just like the Magic/Bird debate. it can go anyway, but regardless on what size you are on, i think we all can agree that if Shaq and Duncan are not equal, then they are not that far apart.
4. "Manu would even be better if he had someone like Fisher or Bibby to will knock down open jumpers consistently."....... i think all Hawks fans would love a Parker/Bibby trade!
6. amen.
7. "Manu is the #1 option on the best FIBA team(IMO) in the world"..... yes yes, Manu is very good in the FIBA game. Duncan is not good in the FIBA game, Carlos Arroyo does very well in the FIBA game. Pau Gasol is the best player in the international game, but i still wouldn't take Gasol over KG.

1. Too bad Pop said it During the Hornets series, huh?
2. Rip is possibly the worst #1 option in the league. However, he has 2 other All-Stars on his team and he had Big Ben.
3. Manu has won the Olympic Gold over Lebron, Wade, Melo, AI, Marbury, Duncan, etc. He has won the Euroleague championship, etc. He could have easily taken the Finals MVP over Duncan in the Spurs-Detroit series too.
4. I am sure everyone will agree that Duncan is a no match for prime Shaq as evident that the Spurs were swept by the Lakers badly in 01.
5. You don't understand basketball then. Everyone would rather have Parker over Fisher and Bibby but it doesn't mean that Parker makes his teammates better.
7. I am just saying that Manu has won everywhere he's been and I don't think it's a coincidence while AI and Vince and JJ have been losing or are losing.

besides Carter, Joe, AI, and Rip out scoring Manu, it is amazing how more efficent they are compared to Manu, especially with Manu having Duncan in all 9 meetings, and Carter, Joe, AI, and Rip have nobody on their team any where close to Duncan's talent.
Spurs won 6 of those games, but Nets, Hawks don't have that many all-stars on their team. but you would think Manu would atleast be shooting .500 with a low post threat like Duncan.
1. i'm not sure what your point is here, but you do know that the Hornets' shooting guard is Peja Stojakovic, and Morris Peterson right?
2. i know that Rip has two all stars on his team..... but how many all stars are on the Spurs?
3. you are putting a WHOLE lot (way too much) into a one time international tournament, that is basically structured the same way as an NCAA tournament into your argument.
4. yes the Lakers swept the Spurs in 2001, but at the time the Duncan did not have a teammate on the same level or close to the same level as Kobe. i think the Spurs second best player at that time was Derek Anderson, i also think that was David Robinson's and Avery Johnson's last year, and Bowen was not on the team? i do think that Shaq can put up 40/20 on Duncan, but the only problem is that, i think that Duncan himself can also put up 40/20 on Shaq in the same game. both guys in their prime are unstopable.
5. i would still love to make that trade!

6. i actually am open to the possiblity of it being a coincidence. Manu has always played with Duncan, and Manu is an international player and to no surpise, he plays very well in FIBA game and rules. those two facts are not by all means not a far stretch.
