I got the NBA 2k9 game on FRI night (before it even comes out tomorrow - TUES) so I can honestly tell you that some teams on the game will DEF Marvin like that automatically from jump, BUT the funny thing is that his mid range is up to 77 now (which is decent) so you can knock down his jumpers constantly til they tighten up.
