48. Joe Johnson, SG , Hawks
"Is one the top 25 players in the league. Give him credit for leading the Hawks to a seven-game push of the Celtics in the first round last year."

So, JJ is listed as #48 but according to the quote should be top 25? The whole list is like that actually.

But, this list is terrible overall.

Wow, this year's batch of "top 50" lists have been awful but JJ and Roy being behind Mike Miller and Ben Gordon is comedy. 25. Shaq 24. Kidd 23. Kevin Martin? Wow. Ahead of Boozer, Butler, and Manu. Then at 22 we got Deron behind Baron Davis and Shawn Marion.

It seems like outside of the top 15 or so he was just doing a "in no particular order" thing...

1. Kidd and Shaq(in particular)are way too high.

2. How can Joe be worse than players like Rashard Lewis,Miller,Danny Granger,Rudy Gay,Ben Gordon, and Micheal Redd? He is a much better passer than any of them and all those players are below average defensively outside of Granger. Ray Allen also isn't better than Joe at this stage of his career either. This list is awful.

The quote about the top 25 for Joe Johnson was from Eddie Johnson, but the list was from Rick Barry. That's very confusing. Like Rick Barry couldn't come up with something to say about everyone on the list. The Ben Gordon blurb came from Kirk Hinrich. If Rick Barry did the actual ranking it would make sense that offense is more heavily weighed that overall game. Barry was a bomber.

A disappointing list that didn't even argue its points well.
