+1. We all know that Horford isn't a very good offensive player. But for him to become a total liability on the offensive end is inexcusable.

Guys it's our first bad game of the season on the road! We are still 6-2 and no team is perfect. Josh Smith's prescence was clearly missed tonight in the paint. I will let this one slide but tomorrow we MUST win at home!

Dallas better beat Orlando tonight.

Charlotte beat Utah.

Miami beat Washington.

Not getting the W tonight really hurts!

What a pathetic fourth quarter from EVERYONE not named Joe Johnson. If we weren't on fire from outside the arc we would have lost by 20.

Horford does have to show more on offense but the interior defense was a much bigger problem. The Hawks scoring has actually gone up since Smith went out...it's the defense that has gone way down. Offense comes and goes but you need to play defense every night.

I think the early foul trouble with Zaza hurts us....because he is the only person who can really bang with Lopez in the middle....and Lopez looked like Tim Duncan out there tonight!

We need to put the Nets to sleep early tomorrow night....we need a 15-20 point victory to justify this loss tonight.

Plus, we need to start driving to the basket early and often. If we continue jacking three's up at a feverish pace, we won't get whistle's blown late in games.

Several times I saw players (Flip, Marvin and Mo) give up catch and shoot shots for more difficult shots. Make and decision and GO.....Horford too.....he's taking tooo long to make an offensive move because when you hold the ball and don't move the ball...you are giving the defense the advantage.

Tomorrow's game should be over and out of reach by the middle of 3rd quarter.

The bottom line is that we still need a center with size who can play D. It is just that much more obvious with Smith out. He covers up for the defensive weaknesses of the other players.

Lopez was killing Zaza. He had two 3 pt plays in Zaza's face during the first 5 minutes. But then again Lopez was killing Horford too.

good game guys...this was a fun one to watch...NBA Live type 3pt shooting from JJ and company...once you see it vs your team, it becomes a reality...

No doubt he was tontoz....he was Duncan out there tonight.

I'm saying as the bulk in the middle factor.....Zaza can bang much better with Lopez than Solo and even Horford to an extent.

There was some good news tonight. Acie finally decided to show up, scoring 9 pts in 10 minutes. JJ broke out of his "slump" in spectacular fashion, scoring 30 pts in the 2nd half. Marvin's hot 3 pt shooting continues.

It is hard to win consistently without your second best player. His absence really exposes the Hawks interior weakness.

Does anyone still not think Kaman would not be a great addition? (even though it's a pipedream)

The Nets frontcourt basically did to us what we did to Noah and Tyrus Thomas. 40 freakin' points to Jason Collins Jr and Ron Anderson. Horford was 2-9 even with the Yi-factor. Embarassing.

Even when Josh gets back Hawks need anoter big bad. Good thing was Acie played well tonight hopefully he can keep it up till the deadline and Sund can turn him into a backup big.

He can't bang with anybody. At least Solo can provide some interior and team defense... Notice that the Nets just killed the Hawks with layups after Zaza goes in for Horford.

Joe Johnson: 11-16, 30 points, 9 boards, 5 assists

i guess you didn't watch the last five minutes, and just watched the box score

well let me fill you in, Vince hit shot after shot right in Joe's face and iced the game

by any chance do those box scores show Vince's shooting percentage in the last five minutes?

JJ dropped 9 more points in the 4th quarter than Vince. Who do you think was guarding him?

Devin Harris scored more in the 4th than Vince. You really have no clue.

LOL. So funny when people try to call someone out and they are completely wrong. Sure, Vince made a few baskets in the fourth, JJ scored like 19.

I did watch the game, and Joe scored 15 points in the last five minutes. You will have to "fill me in" on how that constitutes VC "owning him."
