Just woke up and checked the box score from last night. 18 rebounds for The King! 14 rebounds for Marvina! 8 rebounds and 2 blocks for JJ!

Wow.

From what I could tell from the cheap seats last night: (or at least what I can remember, had a few cocktails in me by halftime):
1. This team played with intensity and defended and rebounded for the 1st time since the Boston game. Loved to see that. That's the only way this team can consistently win, with defense, rebounding, and intensity.
2. The crowd was absolutely terrible.
3. Marvin's 3 pointer was HUGE.
4. JJ played a tremendous all-around game.
5. Zaza is a beast. Zaza is The Man-imal.
6. The Wizards are a very bad team.

Yeah, the Wiz are freakin awful but the team really needed a win and had to pull one out withou Josh and Al.

Big win because we need to win the easy ones while Smith is out and because the guys were at risk of going into a tailspin.

Tontoz, I may be wrong but I think Harry10 was referring to Dominique SAYING that about Joe "3 times a week" not that Joe was DOING that so often. I heard Dominique say that last night and I remember him saying the same thing before.

If he means that Joe is actually failing, then you're absolutely right and I'm wrong.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

^^^ Harry was on JJ's case after he dropped 15 in the fourth quarter against NJ. I think Tontoz is on point with this one.

Actually it was 21 pts in the 4th. JJ sure got owned by Vince there.

parson must not be very familiar with harry.

i was referring to Joe's defense on the unstopable Vince. Carter's FG% in the 4th, espeically on one on one defense, was murderous.

My favorite Harry posts are when he says things like, "Flip Murray makes Bibby expendable"

Flip has been regressing a bit lately. i keep hoping that he becomes more selective with his shots but i realize it is probably wishful thinking.

Yeah, its regression to the mean though.

Sund, Woody, Joe, and everyone else knew what we were getting with Flip. Hollinger's scouting report said he had the 9th highest usage rate in the entire NBA last season. When Flip is in, he's gonna try and score. Some nights he'll be your savior and some nights you just have to hope he doesn't sink you - last night he didn't. On the whole I think he was a good buy for the price but a few 2-11 with 0 assist nights aren't going to suprise me.

really the difference with flip and the subs from last year is that instead of having 3 guys go 1-4 every game (which made our bench suck) we can have 1 person potentially go 5-11 (while having others in for defense). flip's job is to chuck.

i don't know about that, both Flip and Bibby have good and bad nights, but i don't see how a poor game by Flip has cost the Hawks a game. actually a poor game by Bibby almost cost the Hawks the Hornets game. in all four loses, the main factor has been the low production from post players.
