Was Pachulia injured or why wasn't he in during crunch time?

That 12-0 run in the second half just killed the Hawks. Flip is turning into the player i was afraid we were getting.

With JJ playing through an injury the Hawks don't have much margin for error but i know his critics are happy.

Too many dumb turnovers tonight. They just didn't play smart.

At least the defense wasn't as hideous as it has been lately though.

Probably because they were behind and needed someone who could actually score.

Zaza did a nice job on the boards and his D was better than normal. But you want a little more from your starting center than 1-5 for 3 pts and 2 turnovers. I couldn't believe that he kept trying to take Bosh 1 on 1.

Horford should be fined if he tries to back down any pf or center. his back to the basket game sucks.

You need rebounding and defense to come back. He played infinitely times better than Horford tonight. Zaza would have scored eventually. If he wasn't hurting too bad to be effective then there was no excuse for him to sit on the bench throughout the 4th.

Man, I'd give my left nut to get Evans and Zaza off you guys.

Good game. I look forward to our next match up, hopefully with Joe/Josh/Jose/Jermaine all healthy and at 100% ;)

They played decent D tonight and had several good shots to cut it to a one possession game with plenty of time left. They just couldn't convert.

Zaza played one of his best games of the year but when you are down 10 and your starting center is 3 of his last 16 from the field you probably have to look in another direction.

What does your sig mean?

We couldn't really expect to win this game anyway. The Raps are a better team than us without Smith and we had to go play in Toronto to boot. If we get the win over Washington we will have done just fine without Smith.

Joe looked like he was hurting tonight. He's not finishing like he was earlier in the year and looks a little slow. Hopefully he can get some rest before the Memphis game on Wednesday and come back strong. To be honest, I wouldn't mind if Woody gave him a night off tomorrow to rest his legs because we are asking him to do so much right now.

"We couldn't really expect to win this game anyway."

I really hate the mindset you have. The Hawks outplayed the Raptors for most of the game, the Raptors just had that quick run and barely held on. Hawks made dumb turnovers and Woodson made questionable decisions. Raptors aren't that good.

And tontoz, it's a bible verse.

The Raps aren't anything special, but neither are we. I haven't seen enough from this team that should lead me to believe that we can go into Toronto and win. The fact that the Hawks outplayed the Raps for a majority of the game and still lost shows why I had that mindset in the first place.

If we take one of two from this road trip then we'll be 10-6 and back to full strength, I'll take that.

good game, i'm not disappointed at all.

no Josh Smith, so Bosh had a big game, no surpise their.

Rap are a good team, they are alittle overrated, but still, Bosh is a talent and Jose is solid.

Hawks took it down all the way to the wire, on the road, without their second best player who is also their best defensive player.

nothing to feel ashamed about in this game.

Yes, you are right that Bosh had a good game, have you noticed how many good games he has had this season, he has scored 30 at least 7 times this season and is only behind D-Wade, and Bron in scoring, people are actually talking about him as an MVP candidate (comments made by Jeff Van Gundy and Bill Walton). The raps have actually struggled and have already played Boston twice and lost ofcourse. Yes, you'll were without your second best player so were the Raps in Jermaine O'Neil. Good Luck to the Hawks, but to be honest, while watching the game it just seemed like the Raptors would win the game whenever they wanted to.

Atlanta is athletic and only have good experience in Bibby and Joe Johnson, for some reason Bibby always has a good game against the Raptors (even when he was in Sacramento) and Joe Johnson got some high praise from Sam Mitchell the raptors head coach.

Here's a question for the Hawk fans... do you think you can retain Joe Johnson in 2010 ? the fact that our coach loves this guy (I'm not saying that Sam will be coaching in 2010) and the connection with Bryan Colangelo you never know if this guy ends up on the Raptors in 2010 along with Bosh and we might have some extra cash left to sign ...ahem hometown boy Steve Nash.

The Raptors have not played well this year and they were without O'Neal. O'Neal hasn't been a shining star by any means, but he usually plays well against Atlanta. Hawks have been playing about as well hurt as the Raptors have at full strength. I hope the players don't have such a losers mentality to think that any road game against a middle of the pack team is going to be a loss.

O'Neal has been trying to catch up to his oldself throughout the first 5-6 games of the season, but prior to his injury against New Jersey, he had a league leading 5 straight double-doubles averaging 17/13. He was just starting to get into groove, and it's unfortunate he has to play catchup again. If that O'Neal had been playing against the Hawks, I would imagine that the Raps would have played better perimeter D, due to the knowledge that if their man beats them, O'Neal would've compensated for them.
