(e) No Futures Contracts. Subject to Section 5(e)(4) below, but notwithstanding any other provision in this Agreement:

(1) Every Player Contract must cover at least the then-current Season (or the upcoming Season in the case of a Contract entered into from July 1 through the day prior to the first day of the Season).

Okay, boys and girls... as the holiday draws to a close, I decided to venture back here... and I see that effectively, I've come back only to find that there's some medicine that awaited me.

Buckner, you have my respect for your hard work and determination. I probably don't have yours, but that's okay... somehow I'll live. Can't lose something you never had, right? I'd focused my attention on some other articles and the uniform player contract, so again, kudos to you.

And beyond all of that, it's nice to know that the CBA's got that covered after all.

Tontoz... your turn. You have Buckner to thank for my "being owned"... and I mean literally, because you appear to be so proud of YOUrself. You did nothing to contribute to the discussion, but rather droned on and on about things you only supposed were true but never moved a mental or physical muscle to substantiate. No one can respect that.

Later.

I can't respect an ignorant, arrogant blowhard like yourself either.

It is clear you don't follow the NBA at all. Your whole trade scenario was based on the nutty idea that somehow Childress would suddenly decide to play for the MLE when he already turned that down and is making nearly twice that overseas.

Since i, unlike you, actually follow the NBA i knew that Childress couldn't sign a NBA contract in the middle of the Greek season. I also knew that Childress couldn't sign a contract for the 09/10 season until the cap is set. Sorry if your panties are in a wad because i was right.

Just because i didn't bother too look at the actual CBA to find the exact rule doesn't make me any less right or you any less wrong. Funny how you mocked us for not looking at the CBA when you didn't fully read the actual document you were referencing. It is even funnier how you did the exact same thing when you referenced posts on Hawksquawk about Speedy. The (Terrell Brandon) rule change was old news to me because i actually follow the NBA.

It is pretty ridiculous how you cast dispersions on Larry Coon's FAQ when his whole reason for writing it is to make it easier for a layman like yourself to understand the rules, preventing the very mistake you made when looking at the actual CBA.

You should try to educate yourself about the NBA before you try to come here and educate us.

Sturt- I give you credit for actually coming on here and admitting you were wrong instead of just slinking quietly back to hawksquawk like I expected you to do. This is just a site where the salary cap details get discussed over and over. While you may be considered a salary cap expert over on that other site, here you would almost certainly be better served just ASKING questions you aren't sure about instead of attacking people who are trying to explain things to you.
