So would any of you guys do a Kaman or Camby for Josh Smith trade straight up at this point, or would someone like Al Thornton need to be included?

Camby is injury prone and old.

Kaman is injury prone. No thanks.

I THINK we play killer defense when we use our length to tip passes and chase down long rebounds. We can, at times, shut down the passing lanes and we intercept loads of passes. At those moments, sometimes I think I can see the ol' Laker showtime, creating turnovers and then getting out on the break.

I THINK D'Antoni's scheme (on offense) perfectly suits our defensive advantages. I can see us running and shooting major #s of 3's, creating those long rebounds, defensive turnovers and opportunities for driving to the basket. Look at us: we have 3 very good 3-pt shooters and a great running center. Smoove is an amazingly talented finisher and slasher.

Imagine Joe, Bibby and Marvelous bombing away on OPEN 3-pt attempts, rather than in the present, half-court-iso attack we now imploy.

Imagine Marvelous, Horford and Smoove driving to the basket through a stretched-out defense.

It's a beautiful thought that will never occur with Woodson running the show.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't we one of the top teams in fast break points?

Offer:

Bibby 3@23
Zaza 3@14
Flip 2@6
Marvin 4@36 or QO

Look to trade Mo and Speedy (about $8M expiring) for a respectable PF/C at a reasonable contract (Wilcox type).

I wouldn't be adverse to trading our picks. Hunter and Gardner fill the role of developping young guys. We can also offer Solo a cheap contract.

If one of the aboveis to go; it's Bibby. I wouldn't go higher with his contract, I think we could get better for the money and Acie and a solid back up should do the trick.

The Warriors would be interested in Josh Smith but would not give both Ellis and Wright. With Smith's contract, I'm not sure Ellis would even be on the table. Randolph + Wright looked real good lately and are low $.

Non Hawks fan here

I think you giuys just need to keep the pot boiling for the moment. Your team is starting grow and gel right now, there is no need to **** with it.

I hate it when fans say, "A trade for this player would have to start with this player." But, a trade of Smith to the Warriors would have start with Biedrins.

I would understand if the Warriors wouldn't do that, but it's really the only thing that makes sense for the Hawks.
