LOL@that blocking foul they gave Parker. We really could have used those points we left at the free throw line in the 1st 3 quarters.

I hope the team sits down and watches the last 2 4th quarters vs Dallas and San Antonio and see how bad their ball movement was. I've seen some of the worst offensive execution in my life in those particular quarters.

Atleast Miami lost a game vs Indy. It didn't help that they still ended a game on a 8-0 run and had a chance to win on the last shot. The bad news(for me atleast)is that probably means Philly is going to take over the 5th seed anyday now.

We missed too many shots in the fourth quarter. Al especially missed several wide open looks. It frustrated me to see guys like Bonner hit big shots for them while Al and Smith couldn't convert.

I don't know what we could have done about Parker. Dude is just too quick.

Wade was 5-24 from the field tonight. I would say he is a little worn out.

Defense.

The Spurs played it, making our guards take the easy out and toss up shots. We didn't play defense when it mattered.

This WILL be the way defenses play us in the playoffs, pushing us outside. If we give in and let them push us....

And Bibby's defense gets the award. All night, he was "Ok, switch. I'm done." What happened to fighting to stay with your man? Even if he's quicker, you can still stay back and force him to take outside shots (you know, the way they did us).
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Worst game I've seen out of Josh in a long time. Wasted opportunity.

From the box score it looks like a pretty poor defensive effort, and from what I hear Josh absolutely killed us, which shows on the box score too! Am I right?!
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Tony Parker had 42? Ladies and Gentleman I give you the switching D against a good team, coach, and PG. You can blame Bibby, but it the way the defense is coached and run. It happens to Flip as well. Any team with a brain can exploit our basic d in a variety of ways either by blowing by a big trying to check a fast PG or by tossing it down to a big who's posting up our PG.

They need to stop switching on defense on every possession, especially against quick guards.

Stafford attends Hawks game

Image

Former Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford sat courtside next to the Hawks’ bench Wednesday night as Atlanta hosted the San Antonio Spurs.

Stafford was trying to hide under a Cincinnati Reds baseball cap but couldn’t escape the Jumbotron cameras.

oh well, Bibby will be Bibby

it is a hard assignment anyway. in this situation , i don't know why you just play off of Parker and go under the screens and give him the jump shot. just like Lebron, i would rather die by Parker's jumpshot than his layups.

Smith and Horford just had a horrible game.... 5 for 21 from the field against Bonner and Gooden?!?!?

I was kinda expecting a loss. When it comes to execution no team in the NBA does it better than the Spurs. We've won some games where a lot of our flaws were somehow covered by JJ stellar play or even worse execution from our opponents. Our D was horrible. You have to clog the paint against guys like Parker. I mean, what's Woodson problem with that. Play zone, do something different, but do not let a guy score 40 on you like that. I really admire the Spurs organization. They come to play back-to-back on the road, without their centerpiece, and they compete and execute as if nothing had happened. An example to be followed.
GO HAWKS.
