It is unbelievable to me that TNT can show that second four-point play for James Jones and not even mention how it wasn't even remotely close to being a foul on Bibby.

I love TNT, there coverage is top notch. But when my team is involved I can see how they purposely cover the playoffs with certain angles in mind. Their highlights consisted of Wade shooting airballs, the four-point plays from Jones (and no explanation as to how we garnered a 20-point lead beforehand), Wade getting hurt and being helped from the bench, Bibby hitting a tough shot coupled with the obligatory Joe Johnson highlight, then Wade trying to lead his team back down the stretch, and Flip icing the game with a layup off of that beautiful feed from Smoove. Somewhere in there we must have been dominant on the defensive end and in control of the game, but you never would have gotten that idea from the highlights.

They basically went an entire segment without mentioning how bad the officiating was, or how Atlanta accomplished an absolutely monumental feat of winning on the road (something this core has never been able to do) in a crucial playoff game.

i don't think the plan was never to play Rio extended minutes. I feel like he's the type of guy that can be effective for about a 5 minute span with his hustle and intensity. But after that I feel his effect is limited since he just isn't a very good basketball player. I think Woody took him out regardless of the foul situation. But you never know with him.

Maybe, but It happened exactly on his 2nd foul, which is a standard Woodson mantra. Mario wasn't winded and had made a stunning drive just a play or two earlier. Mario was having a positive impact stepping in for Mo Evans who already had 2 fouls. I'm just saying that he needs to actually apply thought to his damn foul rules. Mo Evans got his 3rd foul before halftime because of Woodson strict adherence to his foul policy (starter with 2 goes back in once backups have 2 as well). Saving Mario didn't help because he wasn't going back in later. Mo didn't get used after his 4th foul, but he could have been needed late.

TNT always talks about the negatives of a team. Hell they've been criticizing the Lakers through the entire series. That's just how they do. And, I like it that way. It's a much more unbiased view than any other network. ESPN is just brutal to watch other than Legler and Greg Anthony when he was on there, wish Greg didn't leave.

Dwyane Wade: 'I will be ready' Wednesday vs. Hawks

Dwyane Wade's back remained sore and stiff Tuesday, yet the Miami star said he will play Wednesday night when the Heat visit the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5 of the teams' Eastern Conference first-round playoff series.

Don't get me wrong, I love TNT as well. I don't care if they're negative either. I just have a problem with the way they have gone about covering the series. Last night they spent the entire segment on Inside the NBA talking about Wade's injury rather than actually analyzing both teams. I have no problem with that really, I understand they want people to watch. It just becomes a bit more obvious when you have a vested interested in the series.

I still don't understand how they could show that replay of Jones' second four-point play at least ten times throughout the evening and not mention that Bibby clearly doesn't touch the guy.

I think it's pretty clear that they want a Wade/Lebron series. The announcers go crazy whenever Miami makes a run but whenever we are playing well all they show is replays of Wade stretching on the bench,Wade holding his hip while bringing the ball up the court,Wade grimacing after shooting an air ball. The focus has always been centered on Miami/Wade even when they aren't playing well. Even when the Hawks ran Miami off the floor in the 1st half in game one...all I heard was negative things about Josh Smith's jumpshot. It doesn't make a big difference to me(although I do with I could listen to local announcers)but you can't help but notice it.

You guys are ridiculous... Stop watching TNT then if you feel its so biased. Mike Fratello use to work for the Heat so he has a reason to be a tad biased. Dick Stockton on the other hand has showed no biased what so ever. Sorry but cry more?

Just rematched the game and some things I noticed.

1. Wade appeared to be legitimately hurt. He couldn't get to the basket even when Bibby and Zaza were guarding him and more importantly...he wasn't even crouching down on defense which is a sign of a stiff back. I counted one explosive move to the basket off the driibble the entire game and he missed the layup once he got there.

2. Bealsey and Horford couldn't have played any worse.

3. The Hawks run alot less pick and rolls than Miami or any other team in general. I saw some screens off the ball for Joe but that was just to get him the ball for an isolation. We won but our offensive exceution in the halfcourt still sucked.

4. Zaza was great but the articles saying that JO had a tough time with Zaza defending him are incorrect. JO scored alot of his points on Zaza and three of his misses are plays where he beat Zaza and Smith came over from the weak side with highlight blocks in the 1st half. I don't know if it would work but...how about putting Smith on JO and putting Horford/Zaza on Haslem?

5. The calls in that 2nd quarter were bad but there were two awful ones in particular. The Bibby foul on the Jones 3 and not calling a foul on Cook for Flip's 3 at the end of the 2nd were both awful calls. There was also a play in the 3rd where Bibby hit a 3 and Jones ran him over afterwards which was almost exactly like the Solo foul in the 2nd.
