LL, even when the offense is "free-flowing" they flow within a scheme. Otherwise, they'd run into each other. Ever heard of "spacing" within an offensive scheme?

Look at it this way, there's a reason that Rasheed Wallace and Josh Smith both ended up standing out past the elbow in 3pt land. The reason is the offense Larry Brown taught Mike Woodson.

I think Smoove is out there because Woodson built the offense that way.

I think Smoove shoots 3's mostly on his own. I do, however, think Woodson has given him a PARTIAL green light.

^ I agree with your point about spacing and LB's offensive system. The rest I just don't buy. I don't think anyone in the entire organization wants Josh to ever shoot a 3 pointer. He's a knucklehead who freelances too much and gets away with it because, frankly, he's one of the few players on this team that shows up with passion and intensity in big game situations. Also, Woodson has no leverage to discipline Josh because if it comes down to it - this organization (like most) will keep the star player and dump the coach.

I can't find where, but I remember hearing Woodson saying - last year - that he wanted Smoove to shoot the 3, only not so much.

As for the issue of the 2 not getting along, if that's the case, the ASG must (must, must) get rid of one of them. You simply can't have a situation where your coach and your player can't (or won't) talk.

I find it ridiculous it's gone on this long. Where are the grownups?

We have the 3rd worst ownership situation in the league, behind only Sterling and Sarver. You can always count on them to do the wrong thing.
