Didn't Bibby got 6mill/year? I don't think they're going to pay Zaza the same amount (or more) they paid to Bibby. I think fair value for him would be 3 yr/11mill or 4yr/16mill which is what he's being paid. That significant may be up to interpretation since 1 mill may means a lot to some and little to others.

The number I have heard is 4/19 which is fair. He isn't as good as Andersen or Pryzbilla but he's right there with any other backup 5 in the league.

Espn Report

A shocking number of errors in this article.

The 7-foot Pachulia
- Maybe they just rounded up.

Another Atlanta starter, forward Marvin Williams, and top backup, Flip Murray, also are restricted free agents.
- Marvin's restricted. Flip is just a free agent.

Williams made $7.4 million last season.
- Actually that is the value approximately of his qualifying offer, not what he made last year.

The Hawks have agreed to a four year, $19 million dollar deal with center Zaza Pachulia a source close to the negotiations told ESPN.com's Chad Ford.
- After messing up so many details do I trust that this info is accurate? If so, that not a price at all.

ya i think u can trust that that info is correct. thats a good deal for zaza. Hes provides so much for this team. I hope i dont jynx us but the hawks seem to be going in the right direction, we dont seem to be as (Please Use More Appropriate Word) as we onoce were.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

So with the Bibby, Zaza, and Teague signings, plus bringing Marvin back for around $8mill per we have 11 men on the roster and about $3mill in cap space. Use the remaining money to bring in Andersen and then fill the final inactive spot with someone like Alade Aminu or another undrafted big man. Thats your Atlanta Hawks for the 2009-10 season.

PG: Bibby, Teague
SG: Johnson, Crawford, West
SF: Williams, Evans
PF: Smith, Andersen, (Undrafted FA, I.E. Aminu)
C: Horford, Zaza, Morris

We could either put Morris or the undrafted FA on the inactive roster, whoever is crappier (my guess is Morris, one of the biggest underachivers of all time). If I'm wrong let me know but outside of Marvin and the undrafted FA everyone is already on the roster for next year and I 100% expect Marvin to be back at this point.

Forgot to include Andersen in the not signed so we could bring in a different big man in lieu of him.

Bibby/Teague
Joe/Crawford/Mario
Marvin/Evans/
Smith/Andersen/Diogu
Horford/Zaza/Morris

I could live with this roster. Maybe you bring back Hunter or sign a pg for the vet minimum just in case. Some people have brought up the idea of signing Leon Powe by my gut feeling is that he would prefer to be close to home(on the west coast)if all things are even.

YES!!! The return of The Great Golden God! This is going to be the strongest roster top to bottom we've had since 1993.

I like the idea of another season of Hunter at the end of bench, but I'm concerned that the Hawks made a QO to Solomon Jones. If his agent has a clue he would have had him sign as soon as humanly possible. Earlier I thought we needed a 3rd PG, but given the flexibility of most of the back court I think we leave a roster spot open and use it to adjust to any injury situations if necessary rather than commit to the PG position. Whether the 14th spot is Hunter or an undrafted free agent or even Solomon, I can't complain if we add 2 more bigs to go with Josh/Al/Zaza like in the example above (Andersen and Diogu).

The way things are shaping up. The team we put on the floor this season will basically be the same team going into the following season. I doubt we will do much in FA next offseason outside of drafting a 1st round pick. We basically Zaza for $5 mil per over the next 4 years. That work for me.

Well, we would still need to lock up JJ and maybe Marvin next off-season...

No report ever refuted the original 4 year/$19 mil that was reported originally.
