Drew Gooden is out there and available

What isn't to like about him? 27YO

17 min/game for the Spurs last year
9.8 points
4.4 rebounds

I think he would fit well here and push Smoove and Zaza for playing time.

I like him better than Joe Smith.

I would think the numbers would be fairly equal since Smith has been in the league for so many years.

Drew Gooden says he will choose which team he will play for today or tomorrow. Pistons, Bucks, Cav's, Bobcats. I wish he would come to the Hawks.

The Dallas Mavericks have struck a deal with unrestricted free agent Drew Gooden to make use of some of the money they got back when Orlando matched their offer sheet earlier this month to restricted free agent Marcin Gortat.

Gooden announced via his Twitter feed shortly past midnight Saturday that he is signing with the Mavericks. "Dallas here I come," he wrote.

Sources with knowledge of the deal told ESPN.com that Gooden is receiving a one-year deal for $4.5 million with incentives that will likely take it beyond $5 million by season's end. A formal announcement is expected Monday or Tuesday.Link

Another big gets a deal done.....we must be waiting on Marvin even though the numbers for a QO and a LT are probably very similar for 09-10.

We seem to be leaving all our eggs in the Joe Smith basket at this time.

I don't get it. Letting all those bigs go by...I don't see why Joe will sign with us over CLE, certeainly not the difference of money.
Petro is the best one available after Joe?
At least he is another 7' player who could give sparodic Dalembert production for much cheaper. I be;eive that Sund drafted him back in SEA.

What makes you think Joe wants to sign, play, or live in Cleveland?
