Because he gets off on suppling "inside info?" :dontknow:

And he may not be making it up, but whoever told him is full of it or was also fed wrong information.

He was right about the Al Harrington trade. Everyone tore him apart for breaking the news just like right now, except he was right.

He was told good info and it made sense. This is just too ridiculous to believe. But whatever, believe what you want.

Trash was obviously talked in Boston. This is not news. For one, KG talks all the time. Just watching the exchanges on TV it seemed obvious that Boston's players were trying to intimidate the young Hawks players.

Horford responded in kind with trash talk. If you believe that Pierce was just an innocent bystander being taunted by an unruly Al Horford that's a bit naive.

Even if the words were exact it doesn't mean there was a real bet. The gist of it could be translated and Orbit-gum cleaned as this:

Game 2: At the end another Boston blowout.

Pierce "We're going to sweep you."

Horford "I dont like what you said. I'm still showing up and playing hard."

Game 3: At the end of an Atlanta upset

Horford "You were wrong about your prediction."

Pierce reacts.

Add back in natural speech and emotion and it seems believable to me.

No, but it's ridiculous to believe those were the words that were used in the trash talk. Plus when you watch the replay it doesn't even look close to what Horford said.

If this is true. I can respect it. I didn't lose any respect for Horford when he threw his tantrum, but thought it was uncalled for. If this is true it's a whole different story.

Paul and Horford were talking trash at the end of game 2. That part was very obvious. The cameras were on them when it was happening. Unless 404's inside source is a great lip reader.

I am going to ignore what he type as being said. I am not sure how anyone heard what was said unless they were right there next to Horford and Paul. Whatever was said during that exchange is what likely led to Horford taunting act. Horford has been a class act all year. Even a class act can't help but get mad if someone said the right thing.

Wow-Apparently Horford confirmed this story over a year later on the radio today.

LOL!

I totally forgot I wrote this Hoops Guru! I'm glad you found this in the archives so that the nay-sayers can see that what I said was indeed factual.

Thanks for posting the Horford interview validating my claim!

People have questioned 404 for a while now. I don't really understand why, he's been spot on with most everything.
