Post#1 » by general » Wed Feb 3, 2010 3:38 am

For One His Substitutions are inconsistent and For two Crawford was on the Bench wayyyy to long we need his scoren and he spreads the floor more..Joe had it goin but he cant shoot every single time he ice's out our team when he does that and they go cold and he is suppose to play off the defense he forces the issue to much If this is our franchise Player were in trouble...

This thread makes no sense after this game. They shot 48 percent from the field and 42 percent from 3 on the road against a good defensive team. I will also allow someone to "ice out our team" when he's scoring 37 points on 20 shots.

The reason they lost is because OKC got so many extra possessions due to bad defensive rebounding and only committing 6 turnovers(to their credit). There's only so much a coach can say to get his team to rebound the ball and/or force turnovers.

If you allow 1 man to ice out a team then you think just like joe johnson which put us in a bigger position to lose it's a team game when jordan was hot defenders would flock to him and he will throw a nice pass to a open teammate. Not shoot over 3 people every time.

Losing games because the other team has 17 offensive rebounds and only 6 turnovers is much more common than losing a game because your leading scorer has 37 points on 20 shots.

Failed to control the boards and didn't get enough stops. Those two things contribute to get almost no fast break points. On top of that we had trouble converting on some good looks inside as they had 7 blocks. The switch to zone keep and Joe's shooting keep us in it we just couldn't get over the hump at crunch time. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I'm not laying the blame on Woodson or Joe for this one.

It's been a while since we had a stupid thread about Woody. However, this time it is from a Crawford fan and not a Hawks fan so who cares?

Totally woodsons fault. Once woodson learns how to box out then we'll have a chance to do something this season.

Looks like Horford's getting tired too. Happened last year too. Another Woodson situation. Something needs to happen to give the C spot some relief. Zaza has some game, but isn't contributing very much. Smoove and Horf are basically running a two man PF/C rotation. I dream of another C that can play 28 effective minutes and bringing the game more inside.

I dream of a legitimate starting C - someone like Kendrick Perkins. Unfortunately, I don't foresee us even attempting a trade, so we should really be looking at this upcoming draft class.

Can Dexter Pittman of Texas be the next Kendrick Perkins?

Very possible - but some other team is going to snap him up before we get to draft, barring an epic playoffs collapse.

I'm a little intrigued by Artsiom Parakhouski. He's legit C size, grabs a lot of rebounds, and hasn't been playing long (6 years total), so there might be a bit more upside. Jerome Jordan might also be good if we don't mind a bit of a project.
