Garret Siler Question

Post#1 » by evildallas » Sat Feb 6, 2010 5:19 pm

Has anyone heard if Garret Siler is likely to be brought back to camp next year? The last I could find on him was that he was playing for Yao Ming's club in the Chinese Basketball Association (Shanghai Sharks), but finding info on Chinese ball isn't easy so I don't know how he's progressing. If anyone has that type of info I'd be interested in that as well.

I believe he suffered a back injury last month.

Let me do some research..........

Yup, a back injury, but possibly not serious. I had to look him up on facebook to find some information because the search failed.

Garret Siler: got the great home win 2nite after two tough losses and a good comeback game for myself know I'm getting ready for the acupuncturist 2moro for my back which is killin me pray for me

I wonder how much Siler is being paid there.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure about his salary, but I do know there was a story in the offseason about a salary cap in that league and how they hoped it would improve the financials. Given that tidbit, I'd expect it to better than the D League, but not by much.

Good stat lines for Siler and John Lucas III and a lot of free pizza. Siler has many 100% FG shooting nights which makes me wonder about the quality and size of the competition. On the bright side he's getting run and playing for Yao's team might mean that he's getting extra big man coaching. Maybe he's a candidate to join the Hawks over the summer.
