I think that on paper Memphis is a very tough matchup for the Hawks. They have guys who can exploit 1 on 1 defenders. Randolph is big enough to give Josh Smith fits. They have guys who can do damage penetrating from the outside. When thabeet is in the game they can force the Hawks out to the outside. But one of the biggest reasons is that they are the top offensive rebounding team in the league by a decent margin.

Bad matchup on paper. This team is slumping a little. I watched them lose to Minny earlier this week. Good home team. Hopefully Joe can give us some quality minutes even though hes sick. Horford needs to avoid foul trouble. If I have to see Jason Collins im turning the TV off. Go Hawks!

Important to get into their bench. They aren't a very deep squad.

Darrell Arthur will return tonight for Memphis but will most likely see limited minutes.

Is it me or is Marvin playing better basketball lately? Seems like Joe doesnt care today. Woody managed Joshs minutes well so he could avoid that 3rd foul.

Joe's 4th foul was BS.

I also hate Bob and Nique's tendency to say that the games over when it's clearly not.

Also...Marvin/Smith/Horford played alot better after the 1st quarter when the Grizzlies front court was torching them.

Memphis commentating crew is getting pissed. There starting to plead to the refs. Great second half.

That 3rd qtr. was some of the best (and toughest) play I've seen all year. They'd beat the snot out of us and we'd just come right back at them. That was great basketball.

Good thing MEM couldn't keep up.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Good road win, defense broke it open. Great D by Mo Evans. Excellent all-around game for Marvin. Jamal Crawford was on fire. Solid game for Josh and Al and Joe Smith off the bench. Also got to appreciate Woodson pulling Joe midway through the 4th for extra rest when he's fighting the flu.

I second HoopsGuru25 on the critique of Nique and Bob. What the hell were they doing saying "warm up the bus" when up 10 with almost 10 minutes left. That's a lot of time in the NBA, guys, show some respect for the opponent.

Great win on the road tonight. The Grizz are a formidable team that have taken a lot of impressive scalps there. Woody is right when he tells the boys that our offense stems from tough hard-nosed work on the defensive and that showed tonight. We could have been up even more after three if not for a few boneheaded mistakes on the break.

And agreed on Nique and Bob. I remember when it was actually worth listening to the commentary when Smitty was around. Bob seems to have mailed it in now that he's sitting next to a guy that clearly only has a job as an analyst because of his name.

We clearly have a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) set of broadcasters but I dont mind em. I dont need a ding dong to tell me that Joe Johnson just made a 3 or that Josh Smith just blocked his shot. Commentary is overrated. I just wish Nique would learn to speak better english and maybe go to grammar school over the offseason. Atleast we dont have the Cavs crew or the Celtics team.

Good win, took care of business against a talented but slumping team. Bob actually initiated this silly in game declaration of Warming up the Bus with 10 minutes left in the game(10 pt lead). Don't they know that's a point a minute??

Nique to my surprise actually was the voice of reason by saying-"Little too early but the fat lady is clearing her throat". So he actually exhibited a more mature outlook at that point.Nique declared it over when Crawford hit the corner 3 over Gasol that made it 96-80 with 7 and a half minutes left, a bit more understandable then. Couldn't believe Bob was that foolhardy last night, maybe Nique is rubbing off on him a bit too much. Shame on Bob. :wavefinger:
