great, i have been saying this for months, that the east should go with either Carter or Joe as a starter because of Wade's above average PG skills. this makes alot of sense with Wade's ability to take it inside and Joe's above average 3pt shot.

I missed the entire game due to work, so I plan to watch it when I can, but someone on the General board posted this gif of Lebron only clapping when Dwayne Wade turned around. I looked at the box score and it looks like Joe and Al both did good.

I wasn't watching closely enough to notice that earlier. Lebron supporters will just say its his competitiveness not wanting to lose anything. Lebron detractors will say he was being a d-bag.

Just as well, if he was a wonderful, mature human being in addition to being so skilled and talented it would be hard ever root against him. He makes it easy for me to wish failure on him.

How Lebron can get 22 shots up playing with 11 other allstars I do not know. That is the definition of chucking for that game MVP trophy just to realize that Wade shot less, scored more, assisted more, stole the ball more and rebounded more. Honestly, watching the game with Lebron in it felt more like I was watching a Cavs game the way the ball never left his hands before an ugly jumper went up.
At least on the West side I could understand Carmelo putting up shots with Kobe and Roy being out plus he was hitting them at a great clip.

^^^ He was rapid chucking late to try to catch up on personal points scored, but he went 1-6. He almost shot the East out of the win.

Other observation if George Karl left Kevin Durant in the West would of had a better chance at hitting the winning shot (he was in on D). However he was dedicated to one of 3 players getting the shot Carmelo, Chauncey, or Dirk (as host).

The Grades

Regardless whether you think he deserved to be in the All-Star Game or not, he showed he belonged with the big boys, getting up and down the floor for eight points (4-for-5 shooting) and four boards.

He filled in well for crowd favorite Allen Iverson, knocking down half of his eight shots on his way to being one of four East players to reach double digits in points (10).

ESPN gave Lebron an A- and had this to say about him:
The only thing preventing him from earning higher marks was his inconsistent jumper, but then again, when you can get to the cup the way he does, who cares if you fire up the occasional air ball? The league's best player added his share of highlights that will be shown repeatedly.

^^^ Did they grade David Lee on a curve? C-? His 3 TOs in 12 minutes for a non-ballhandler deserved a D grade as much as Wallace's nothing performance.

Also, I feel that Al deserved an A. What more could he have done with the 14 minutes? 8 pts on 4-5 shooting with 4 rebounds, a steal, a block, and no turnovers. His only negative was missing his only free throw.

Basically if you got minutes and shots you got a better grade. Really not much of an evaluation of what the player did with his minutes.

Al is always ready, a player you can count on for whatever game. I like the fact he was in the 4th quarter for while. JJ played alright, better than last year lol. The all-star game reminds me of pickup games in school. I never run the floor cause whoever had the ball was going to shoot or whatever lol... it was fun though... just one more thing, Pierce and Al actually seemed to be getting along well... i loved when PP passed the ball to Al, a shame he couldnt convert it
GO HAWKS.
