Damnit. This hurts. Will somebody tell me its gonna be ok?
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Good game. Raptors really needed this win. I'm sure the Hawks would have closed this one out better with Joe Johnson. Bibby and Crawford are true Raptor killers and Horford couldn't miss in the post.

It's ok. JJ will come back and the Hawks will still have home court in the first round.

Probably not. The Hawks are pretty much a safe bet to blow the game when the other teams make any sort of run in the 4th.

The Hawks are an enigma! Toronto should NOT have won this game tonight! NO WAY, NO HOW! Teams have figured out the Hawks 4th Quarter 'method of operation': if within striking distance in the final two minutes, TAKE IT TO THEM because they CAN'T finish games! Another wasted game.

Get rid of Marvin, Bibby and Zaza as they have basically STOLE money! And of course, Woody has to go...PERIOD!

And Rick Sund doesn't get a pass either....he's back to his old Seattle GM days with the Bibby, Marvin and Zaza resignings. Seems like he should have taken a page from his former Seattle-sidekick (and now OKC Thunder GM) Sam Presti...who's looking like a genius now with OKC winning consistently! Sund should have had the balls to come in and shake things up....but he chose not to ruffle feathers! Dayum shame....

I usually enjoy your posts 404...but you don't think you're overreacting a little? The Hawks suck in the 4th but Sund has done a good job so far.

Hoops, bro, I maybe overreacting a little. I'm just pissed at what happened tonight. Sund just needs to fire Woody at the end of the season!

We wasted too many games...and as you know, it frustrating as hell.

There's no point of firing Woody. They can't afford anyone better & Woody hasn't lost the team after 6 years- which happens to be the most important job of an NBA coach.

I'm surprised Raps pulled this out -- Hawks shot it well inside and out.

JJ would have made a difference.

I'm impressed w/ Horford - he has not peaked.

Crawford thinks he's Kobe....I'm not so sure he's a good fit for the long-term in Atlanta -- he just
seems like a 1 on1 guy and not someone who was really running any offense for other players.
I wonder how Hawks fans feel.

Josh Smith has some skillz, but he seems very immature and wants calls given to him. The team fed off his energy though.

i was at the game tonight and gotta say i like your team a lot. horford and crawford were awesome tonight. i could not believe how clean jamal's jumper was tonight, damn.

you guys are going to be fine, you were missing your star player on a back 2 back against a team that needed to fluke out a win. good luck in the playoffs! hope we don't meet you!

I feel for you guys. That play SHOULD have been reviewed, since the league has mandated that out-of-bounds calls/shot clock violations/whether the shot was a 3pt FGA, be reviewed when questionable and under 2 minutes in the game. Watching the replay a few times I can't see how Evans was out of bounds before tapping the ball. Bosh made a tough shot but there's no way it should have come to that.

A review of the out of bounds call on Marvin Williams would have surely shown that he was in bounds. You guys lost this game because of a blown call by the ref.

I think its pretty evident that no one likes you. Thanks for your fantastic input though

Atlanta has that "oh so close" feel

One or two trades and they'll be monstrous

What I saw watching the game:

- Teague brought nothing: he enters at 23-28, and when Bibby comes back, Woody had let it slide to 32-47. From -5 to -15.
- then the team starts to come back and play better with two technicals on Bibby and Smith, with some good effect. -3 at halftime with 11pts from Crawford in the second, then +11 after 3rd quarter with 7pts from Crawford.
At this moment, I started to think "if Crawford can hit 40pts, we will win, if he stops, we will lose. Too much dependency, even if guys like Evans and Bibby were having a good game (and bring each time they were on the floor, they also got the best +/- with +8, which confirms the impression).
- Marvin continues to be invisible and taking shots while being cold, and as it was not his game, he gets a bad call in last seconds.
The 5th foul from Evans at 4"44 brings Marvin back in the game, and TOR comes back.

Maybe it's the key, because Woody could have let Evans in the game, since the team was at his best when he was on the court, and Marvin was at his worst. He was exactly on the opposite effect in this game, so it was a huge gamble from Woody, and more since he decides to no bring Evans back before the last seconds.

And general view: frustration again.
Unless Woody wanted to loose this game to get the 4th seed back, and Joe's injury comes right on time for that and leave BOS the 3rd seed.
Still a possibility ;)
