The Louisville fans are going crazy over this. They had been recruiting this kid for a good 3-4 years and Cal got him(and several other blue chippers)over night. Their conspairacy theories range from Lebron calling him last night to WWW(the guy Cal pays to get recruits)hooking Jeff Teague up with a Nike shoe deal.

^Woah. Are you serious? Thats insane. Calipari is either the man or a dirtbag. Im leaning toward the latter.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Calipari cheating? What a shock.

Gotta love the UL fans complaining about this. Your coach is Rick Pitino, people. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...

Money? LeBron? Hooking up his brother? All Callipari had to show him was his track record with one and done point guards and he was in the palm of his hand.

Agreed. I would also choose UK over UL if I was a 5 star pg recruit. Make no mistake about it though-these "one and done" kids(and their HS/AAU coaches) are definitely getting compensated.

I'm a strong believer that Calipari doesn't develop great PGs like his reputation gives him credit for. Rose, Evans, and Wall are 3 guys that would have gone straight to the NBA without a year under Calipari and were projected near the top of the following NBA draft before stepping foot on campus. The other PGs he had at Memphis that weren't already being projected in draft after 1 year didn't develop into NBA caliber players (Antonio Anderson and Darius Washington Jr). If you are already good and self-driven his system will showcase you, but don't expect to improve your game substantial under his guidance.

Having said that Pitino doesn't really develops NBA PGs either. I would probably say that Ben Howland does the most to actually improve PG skills, but I'm not sure kids enjoy his system at UCLA.

Guys don't care about Carilari developing them- they care about being put in a position to shine.

High School players that are 1 and done have bought into what Calipari is preaching, and firmly believe that his system is the best to enter prior to going pro.
