Dwyane Wade?
With talk of how ownership might sell the pick to offer Joe the max... why not simply offer it to D-Wade, who is clearly unhappy with his situation in Miami? Horford-Smith-Marvin-Wade-Crawford is a championship starting 5, and Wade is looking to win. Plus, he basically gets his pick at coach.

They don't have the caproom.

^Yes. I thought ownership came out and said that the pick wont be sold. Correct me if im wrong though.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Yeesh, why not? Getting a real star is the only way this team will ever contend.

The national media is worthless when it comes to Hawks inside info. The Hawks were supposed to be shopping draft pick and Josh Smith's contract to save $$$ and they added salary by taking on Crawford. There really is no good info for Hawks news now that Sekou left the ajc.

Just addressing the rumor and not the denial. Nothing good comes from selling picks. Rookie contracts are a great way off containing costs if you can draft worth a damn and have a coach that will play a rookie. The cap hold of the 24th pick is little more than veteran minimum. If the ownership needs the proceeds from the sale to make payroll then they don't need to resign Joe. Let someone else pay him the max maybe do a sign and trade and focus on less expensive solutions. My reason is simple, we don't sell out with Joe now then how are you going to make ends meet paying him more.
As far as D-Wade goes, sure offer him the max and if he wants it try to work out a sign and trade. However be prepared for him to laugh it off or that a S&T can't be reached. We don't have the cap room to make a run at him out right, but I agree that he is a max player because he sells tickets and wins games. Joe just doesn't sell the tickets.

What's Miami's incentive to do this?
