Mike Bibby
is their any team that would take Bibby, especially just for cap space? or is Bibby completely un-tradeable?

Re: Mike Bibby
Its possible... maybe for a similar contract at another position... or if someone gets DESPERATE for a PG... I've heard some talk he would be a fit for LA, so they may be willing to send us some of their spare parts (i.e. Vujacic, Walton), but nothing great.

It's the last thing to do, unless you are sure that Joe is walking for nothing (and it would not motivate him to see that Bibby is not in the project anymore and the team is trying to get cap space), Evans walks also, and you let Childress walk for nothing too.

^ man i wish that did happen, if Joe walks and Mo walks and Hawks are able to dump Bibby, that would give them about 16M in cap space to go after a guy like Bosh or Wade and still get to keep Marvin and Crawford.

Re: Mike Bibby
Bibby's salary wouldn't come off the cap unless traded to a team with cap space. Not likely at this time. There aren't that many bad contracts that Bibby would be shorter than right now because of people trying to save cap room for this summer. On the bright side next summer he's an expiring.
Actually, Calderon might be seen as a bad contract enough. 1 year longer and at a cost of 19M more. Beno Udrih probably is also bad enough, but would Bibby be welcomed back to the Kings?

If we could actually keep a playoff game close to the end Bibby would be a very useful player for us. Unfortunately that scenario has been relatively unheard of over the past few years.

This is my POV too.
I think that last season, he was the second scoring option, which keeps him in rythm all the season.
This years, with less shots, and more one year old, he should have get some special play for him to optimize his use. But with the poor Woodson coaching, it was not the case.
Evildallas, I did not look if any team is in this case but you forgot teams above the cap, but with a Trade Exception of at least Bibby's salary.

Are the Hawks really thinking of dumping him for expiring cash?
If I'm the Lakers I deal Sasha for him in a heartbeat. Lakers get (at worst) a back-up PG without touching their MLE.

Re: Mike Bibby
The truth is we needs Bibby leadership (he's probably a better coach than Woodson) on this roster more than his defensive woes hurt us.
Also, I wasn't suggesting dumping him for an expiring deal, but waiting a year to when he is expiring and use him in acquiring an asset then.
