I couldn't help but think about this post on "selling" Atlanta to Lebron when I read this article today.

The ASG would benefit and it would possibly generate more false hope during the future. On the other hand the ASG are going about it the wrong way and should be pursuing Byron Scott because I doubt Mark Jackson would interest Lebron.

Dreaming: Larry Drew was a former player, so maybe Lebron would be interested, and we can be mentioned with among the teams that actually plan on spending money.

According to a source, one thing James has let the organization know is that he's interested in a coach that has played in the NBA. Scott, who had a good relationship with James' close friend Chris Paul, would fit that bill. That is why the Cavs are so interested. Link

SALES SALES SALES

SALES SALES SALES

Everyone wants Labron but personally, I think the piece we need to sell on coming to the Hawks is Chris Bosh.

If we could keep Joe and add BOSH! That would put this team over the top. Even adding Bosh and losing Joe would still be better IMHO.

And we would run what, Smoove/Bosh/Horford? That's a highly unorthodox lineup.

PG Teague / Bibby
SG Crawford / ? Draft ?
SF Smoove /Marvin
PR Horford / Smoove
C Bosh / Horford

..if by "unorthodox" you mean hard to defend then yes. Marvin and Bibby and ZaZa off the bench...

I assume that to get Bosh, JJ would be gone. Id feel far better about this team taking the floor.

C PF SF All-Star Front court! Horford will benefit greatly being mover to his natural position.

and yes Smoove can play some SF. In fact he too would likely benefit from this move as he is bigger than anyone else in the league at that position and just and damn near athletic. Having him slash and gash the paint and playing above the RIM will still be there.

I could hear an argument against this line up and maybe a sign and trade of Smoove to Toronto for Bosh and resign Joe would be better but... Only time will tell.

Perhaps we will get a clue on draft day this week.

That lineup is just begging to have defenses run a 2-3 zone and dare us to shoot outside, and for opposing offenses to slash against the 3. It also doesn't fix the issue of dealing with Dwight.

I just read where LeBron is more concerned with owner than city or coach. Makes sense and we're dead before we could even start dreaming.
Going to donkey punch a leprechaun!
