TRADE Al, not Josh for Bosh

Post#1 » by ACE_reppin_ATL » Tue Jul 6, 2010 5:47 am

HAWKS should be tryin to move in on Bosh with Joe signed and the having a good deeal of talent and favorable contracts....Joe should also try to get Bosh to come back to ATL to play....After all, the reports did say Joe would now be tryin to recuit big name FA to come here now...

NOW FOR THEY WHYs:

ATL shocks the league and comes out of Free Agency with 2 of the 2010 big name free agents....ANd by combining Joe n Bosh, they become instant contenders while keeping Joe n Josh...Josh is an how also an exceptional talent that brings tons to the table on both ends of the floor with unheralded athleticism and doesn't really demand/complain about the ball....Smoove is also a hometown star that has gave this city a reason to come see the Hawks....The Hawks would be adding a 22/10 player (Bosh) to go with Joe n Josh for the next 5-6 years....No other inside/out duo compares to that combo other than Kobe and Pau...

TOR would get an allstar PF/C of the future that could add strength and toughness to Bargnani and Turkoglu (or trade)....Rather than lose it Bosh for nothing to rebuild with or around other than Bargs and Derozan?

Do people really need to start threads stating why we should trade for Bosh,Paul,Melo, etc?

i agree that Josh is better than Al.

offensively Josh is better, defensively Josh is better, and rebounding Josh is better, and i even think Josh has a better IQ and hustle than Al (most of the time Josh looks like the only guy who gives a sht out their and his IQ is great, even though people only choose to remember the bad games) but the problem is that the one thing that Horford is better that Josh in , is guarding centers, which is extremely rare in the NBA.

but overall i would rather keep Josh over Al.

Bosh doesn't want to play C, we can't trade Al.

Exactly. If we trade Al, then we are forcing Bosh to play Center. I think he is smart enough to know that by trading our center and keeping our PF who isn't big enough to play the 5, that he would be forced to.

I'm starting to question whether you really are paying attention to the games now. Josh is maybe a bit better offensively but even that's a push cause Al added that mid range jumper last year. Josh blocks a lot of shots cause he lets his guy burn pass him more times than not. Josh is not a better rebounder, check the stats. And NOBODY on this team plays with more hustle than Horford. Josh slacks off on many plays and has periods of dis interest in playing all out.You ever just focused on Josh at times?? He drifts and gets caught watching the ball and not boxing his man out repeatedly. Horford does not have this problem as much.

I see Al as more of a combination of a component on a playoff team than I do Josh simply for one reason:
HIs ability in the 1/2 court. Josh can get out and fly with the best of them, but when it gets down to possession after possession in the 1/2 court.

Send Josh West to a fast paced team that gives us a down low presence.

seriously? you think Josh 'no-jumpshot' Smith is better offensively than Horford? and he definitely doesnt have a better basketball IQ. He is hustle and athleticism, but no offensive game, gets in a funk if he isnt involved early and often, and often checks himself out of games. Josh would be a better wing defender and concentrate on that at the SF, move Horford to PF and get a serviceable center. That would be a very good front line for Atlanta.

Al Horford is the one keeper on this team and I prefer him over Josh Smith. I know Josh Smith is a fan favorite, but Al to me is the better, and is the more intelligent player. He has leadership qualities that Josh Smith will never have and that should evident by watching the games.

We never made the playoffs until Al arrived, Joe, Josh, Marvin and Zaza were all here before. Al is a player that makes others better. His stat lines may never wow, but is the the cornerstone of the Hawks.

Another thing that erks me about Josh is his constant, annoying whining about every other call. Quit that bull already, it's annoying as hell for me to watch so i know his teammates are not delighted to see it. Just watch him and notice the crybaby in him. Every freaking call is not going to go your way, and some of the calls he doesn't get are justified but the guy freaks out every other play. Some call it passion or desire but i think it's being silly on his part.
