The coach doesn't control when players shoot, but he does control how often they get the ball and where and when they get the ball. Marvin gets the least plays drawn up for him of any starter + Crawford, and receives the ball only when he's glaringly wide open.

I find it funny that you say he doesn't bring anything to the table and then say we should sign T-Mac who stopped bringing anything about 3-4 years ago and at this point actively detracts.

You know who Cleveland deserves in a S&T for Shaq? Evans or Zaza and Bibby. Then pay Shaq a bit more than the MLE.

Give them that option, and then let's go out and get Shaq ourselves. Give him our MLE and lets worry about the parts going forward.
I saw those salaries when compared to Marvin.

I still give Cleveland nothing. They aren't doing us any favors. That game they ripped from us last year still bothers me.

I like that. If Sund could pull it off that would be even better.

Two months into last season it was apparent to me that Sund overrated the importance of those two guys to the success of the team last year and overpaid for them.

Good luck.

Even though I proposed that trade, the thing that would make me most happy is if the Hawks stood their ground with Shaq on the MLE. If he signs for the MLE great, if not they look for Miller or Dampier. It would show that they were willing to spend (slightly exceeding the luxury tax) but not give away talent to keep the budget down. It would also minimize the financial risk in case Shaq let's himself go. Shaq could be worth 7M+ if he wants to put forth the effort, but I question his willingness to but forth the effort.

No no no....
a) Marvin will have a break out year and become our second option on offense.
b) Shaq is not the answer... A nice piece to add for the MLE YES, but the answer NO
c) Horford is an All-Star CENTER, we just need quality minutes from a bulky center for when Horford is not in there...

I am the biggest Shaq fan trust me, I hope he can swallow his ego and go for the vet min in Miami because Atlanta hasn't won anything since their days in St. Louis.

The most I can say is that if the ASG holds back on adding players because of the cap limitations after paying employee #2, then I know that this group has no intention on 'attempting' to win a championship.

It appears they are at least letting either bad rumors or good rumors out there, but it will take a big name to draw any interest in this team.

There isn't a poster here that supports this team that doesn't want to see some significant improvements over last year's roster.
Shaq would be a good fit, and for the MLE, based on what we paid Bibby to do and what Zaza brings to the table, he is absolutely worth the full MLE. Its a no-brainer.

We should also not impact Marvin's status with this signing as well. A one-way transaction to show that we mean business to try and get to the next level of the playoffs. And no more of this players on this team are not tradeable. Everyone needs to be held accountable going forward.

We have to get a C with our MLE first, if it's not possible, then look at a sign-&-trade.
But Zaza+Evans is OK, not Bibby.

We don't have to send Bibby for Shaq without getting another veteran PG.
We need him at this moment.
I am sorry, but if nobody was ready to take a step back in letting Joe walk for nothing, how can you be so much sure that Teague can take the team ?
We have to play him more, to start him, but it's unbelievable to think that we can be sure of him leading the team.
And Bibby brings fast spot up shots, and maybe even more pick-&-roll with the new offense. He was able to use it with Horford or Smith, and we don't know if Teague can.
