Arena Question from Visitor

Post#1 » by Raptorman_ca » Thu Oct 28, 2010 1:28 pm

Hey guys. I'll be in town from Toronto to see the Hawks play the Raptors on Feb 2 2011.

I want to sit behind the Raps bench. Your ticket graph is showing that is section 117...a guy selling tickets is telling me it is actually 114.

What side do the visitors sit on?

Thanks

I would consider section 113 behind the visitors bench as well. In row A seat 8 is on the 114 aisle. The seats run right to left looking at the court. The aisle seat is a higher number as you go back as the section gets bigger. In 114 once you get to seat 10 or so you are now behind the scorers' table.
Section 113 is clearly past the baseline.

A few years ago, my youngest son and I sat in section 113, coincidentally, when the Raptors played against us.

Warning: if you sit too close to the front (supposed to be great seats, right?), then you won't see very much, as the Raptors' players stood alot. Worse - as far as my son was concerned - they stood EVERY time the dance team performed. He was smaller then and stood up in his seat to see the girls.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Another section to consider is 110 IF you can score a double letter row like (AA is front row). It isn't behind the Raptor bench, but rather perpendicular to it. I used to sit in Row HH on the other end (120) about 20 feet from the end of the Hawks bench behind Josh Smith's family. You get a good angle on the game and can get really close to the team and see them on the bench. Section 111 would be on the edge for the tunnel, good for entrance/exit, while section 110 could probably get you closer to the floor (111 is a narrow section). Again it is important to get double letter and single letter A is a lot higher on the ends than the sides.

Put in the section and the row and let the flash app take over.

I'm in 114 row F. High enough to see over the players.

Those are nice seats. I hope you enjoy the visit to Atlanta, but I hope we enjoy the game more.

Thanks everyone. This is a stop on our honeymoon road tour. Getting married Jan 22.

I phoned your ticket office and pointed out the graphic error on Ticketmaster. They have since changed it.

Looking forward to my first visit to Atlanta! And cheering for my Raptors! (with one eye on Josh Smith and Mike Bibby...Bibby always lights us up)

Take care.
