I don't think you can strictly define athleticism by blocks and steals as plenty have already noted that you can achieve both either just by being born with length or having a high Bball IQ. I can't in good faith say that Josh and Dwight are entirely superior athletes to a David Lee or Kevin Love mainly because they notch defensive stats and the others don't. I'd say athleticism should strictly be judged on the combination of speed, agility, explosiveness, vertical and strength. Length, height, etc should be taken out.

As to answering the OP, I don't know, it's like arguing who's more athletic between Barry Sanders and Bo Jackson. If I had to chose I'd guess it would be the guy that can bring power along with everything else.

I can only assume that Blake Griffin bigger hands, but I think Josh Smith is more athletic. It may appear Blake is more athletic he has bigger hands and is taller.
