I think Law will eventually need to go overseas if he wants to make a living playing basketball. I wish him the best of luck signing with another team, but he's been involved with different systems, and none of them have seemed to work for him. It's him, not the systems!

I just wonder what with happen to the price of the authentic Law jerseys at the Hawks stores at the arena now? They are already like $10.

He's been on up and coming teams, rebuilding teams, young teams, and vet teams yet has not found his niche anywhere. I think it's time he calls it a career in the NBA unless he thinks the Triangle or Flex will be his savior.

Great college player who didn't have any one thing to hang his hat on in the NBA. Not lightening quick, not a great shooter from range, not a lockdown defender. This closes the book on another failed pick of the Billy Knight era. It's a bit depressing when you think about his drafting. He struggled to identify the BPA in terms of NBA impact (Childress and Marvin), also struggled whenever he picked by need (Sheldon and Acie), and struggled bargain shopping (Royal Ivey and Solomon Jones, etc.). You'd think a GM would succeed at one of the strategies.

You just had to do that, huh? Looking back on all the failing he did during his tenure makes me want to throw up.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

So will people finally stop blaming Woodson for not playing Acie enough?

I thought most of us realized he wasnt very good by the end of his career here.... Jordan Crawford might become the new Acie though.

I dont have much faith in Teague. He hasnt show anything in his playing time to warrant anymore time.

Yeah, Acie has had ample opp to get into a rotation.

Perhaps the Lakers will grab him and give him a shot, like Shell head got with the Celtics last year.
Shellhead continues to earn a paycheck and was one of those BK guys who couldn't perform when the need was there.

And on that Teague note, is it me or does it look like he just comes down court and just starts running around in circles instead of heading directly to the rim?

^^^^ Sheldon always had a place in the league as a hustle rebounder. He just didn't have the hands to be any more. He's good long term potential to be making approximately league minimum. Good career for a 2nd round pick, but a waste of the number 5 overall pick.

Jeff Teague still has a chance. Remember he didn't play PG at Wake and is still just starting to get minutes. If the Hawks had a better relationship with the D league they would have sent him down last year to get time playing PG. He's got speed which is something that Acie didn't have enough of. Whether he can make that work, we'll see. For now he's playing catch up.

As for Jordan Crawford I wouldn't worry about him. He does something that Acie never did and Teague hasn't done yet and that is shoot reliably from range. The lack of minutes now isn't an indictment of Jordan as much as it is just the state of the roster. What he provides we have a highly paid veteran 6th man of the year to provide. ASG cash flow will ultimately guarantee that he gets a fair shot to make his mark, it just won't necessarily happen this year.

Word is that Golden State is going to sign Acie Law. Curry went down last night with an injury, so I hope Acie makes the best of it.

Now Acie may not be able to beat out Jeremy Lin in popularity (for obvious reasons) but if he can't beat him out as a ball player then I say it's over. Rooting for the IV though.
