Nice victory off a back to back. Good to see. The more I watch Horford the more my man crush develops.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Sorry for the confusion, guys. I meant Granger wanted out of the game.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Thankfully we abandoned running every play for Al in the nick of time. Al was getting good shots but nothing was falling. Those 2 big and 1's sealed it for us really.

And to share what was really bothering me at the arena: How can Marvin Williams get 0 rebounds in 28 minutes of play? Inconceivably soft.

2 reasons.....

1. Pro basketball teams in the south have a hard time selling tickets because in the south, it is all about college football. Charlotte, New Orleans, Memphis, D.C., and Miami (before Wade) have a hard time getting fans. Orlando does a pretty good job, but they are a one pro team city.

2. GA is a red state, thus makes it hard for owners to do business and get stadiums built. although people do hate tax money to be spend on stadiums, they do end up creating alot of revenue for alot of small businesses in the area and increase property value. that is why blue states, with the exception of Tim Duncan and San Antonio, the vast majority of championships (NBA, NFL, MLB) are won by teams in blue states.

^Good stuff, Harry. It just really bugs me. The product on the court isnt garbage. Why not show some support for the team? Falcon or Braves dont fill up on a consistent basis. It just bothers me.

If we're not careful we're going to lose the Thrashers too and their looking good this year. This city is pretty weak in their support all bull and excuses aside. Even when the Braves were winning all those years and even last year we made the playoffs the crowds were underwhelming. No excuses, the Hawks are not great but their good and have developed a winning attitude for 3 years running.

I always look back at the Jason Terry/Abdur-Rahim/Theo Ratliff years and on to the start of Woodson's career. That always put things in perspective for me. You can call me content or whatever, so what. Yeah, things could be better but they could be ohh so much worse also. For example check out the Bobcats/Celtics thread and tell me life ain't good on these side of the tracks. The Bobcats are a hot mess.

Hell just look at the whole Pro sports scene in Atlanta, we should be shot in our ass for how we've supported these teams lately. I was discussing this with a friend the other day, this is arguably the best time to be a sports fan in this city in.......heck EVER!!!!

Look at the state of all 4 Pro teams in Atlanta: The Hawks are a going on their 4th straight playoff appearance, the Thrashers traded Kolvachuck away and everybody thought the franchise went with him, turns out that was the smartest move in the history of the 11 year franchise and this year's team looks like the best since their only playoff team. The Braves made the playoffs last year for the 1st time since 05 and traded for Uggla and looks like they have a bright future. The Falcons have the best record in Pro Football as we speak. What the fu(c)k is wrong with you Atlanta?? I don't get it.

You must not be paying attention to this year then. At least the Thrashers have made a playoff at least once in their 11 years. The Clippers have made maybe 2 playoffs that i can remember in what?? 30+ years. The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Washington Nationals could also be considered worse. What about the Detroit Lions?? So No the Thrashers are not IMO the worst.
