Hasheem Thabeet?

Post#1 » by mattlanta » Sun Dec 26, 2010 7:39 pm

Took this from the Grizzlies forum:

With a 12-17 record, the Grizzlies appear ready to trade Hasheem Thabeet in order to immediately improve their club.

Griz general manager Chris Wallace declined to discuss potential deals and said the team's trade activity has been overstated.

Depends on what he would cost us. If the Grizz are looking to improve I can't think the Grizz would want a pick or anything but instead would want someone of value.

In a New York minute!!!

He could very well end up being a bust. But after having Mutombo patrolling the paint and seeing up close how crucial he was to a defense, it's be worth the risk. I wouldn't include Josh Smith or Horford in a package, but any other player on our roster is fair game.

Being stuck as a mediocre team for so long, it's time to take some chances and swing for the fences to become relevant.

You know I'd do a Marvin for Hasheem even though marvin is a better player right now ( and Hasheem maybe a bust). 1) I like Marvin a lot and think he may need a fresh start somwhere. 2) We need a big and we have to try something.

Again, I'd rather take a flyer on a hurt Greg Odem an a bad Hasheem Thabeet that may turn out to be a major bust. Just me!

You might as well as for a risky Yao as well. These big men seem to have their problems...and Thabeet isn't injured.

If you can get him for Marvin.....I take my chances with Damien/Mo. A money saver for the next 2 years....
