My fault i was in a rush trying to reply and didn't read it right. I hate the Hawks put themselves in the situation they did by signing JJ to that deal but i guest they wanted a Superstar. They paid for a Robin, sorry to say.

Either pay for him or watch him walk and be an even worse team with no hope of improving.

The league only has a handful of superstars no matter what the media or realgm posters believe. Atlanta's better off with Joe Johnson, the team is still young, and has a bright future. Dallas on the other hand won't have a strong future unless they work a trade that drastically helps the future or the team or if Roddy B ends up being a star like Cuban seems to believe he's going to be.
Cuban contacted Joe's agent and the Hawks about Joe Johnson during the off-season. Joe wanted to stay with Atlanta and Cuban moved on after realizing once again that top free agents have no interest in signing with the team.

Isn't he getting paid like DWade and Bron Bron. I love Joe but he's more of a compliment to a superstar and that would be a championship team. With Joe being the Superstar the team really isn't going far. Just my opinion, don't wanna step on any toes.
Josh on the other hand is intriguing because he has the capability to take any team to the next level defensively. While his offensive game isn't as well rounded as his defense but his dunking and energy is a need any team would welcome. I would prefer to trade for Josh for his upside although his early career has been disappointing.
Just because Joe's contract is bad doesn't mean Atlanta is gonna sell him for pennies on the dollar. He is a top SG in the game so it isn't like his contract is that horrible compared to his production, but he is overpaid some.
I know Dallas would prefer to trade for Josh...but the problem is that Dallas doesn't have much to give. Atlanta and Dallas are not good trading partners. dallas doesn't have many good tradeable assets after Roddy B.
Roddy B is basically Teague just looking at stats and impact. I rather not trade with Dallas unless it's for Haywood and that's for Zaza and Mo and nothing more.

I think they did, the problem is there weren't many teams out there who wants Joe...or a team that Joe wanted to go to.
The biggest threat was New York...who could sign JJ outright.

I don't think that JJ is overpaid, but just his contract is too long. That is going to be a concern in 4 years, not now.

Teague's not really on the same level as Roddy.
Roddy is a natural scorer who can do it with both his jumper and at the rim. He has proven he can maintain his composure during a non stressful game like the regular season and put his team on his back during an intense playoff game. He came over from a different culture, had to adapt, and he performed well during the little time Rick Carlisle gave him.
Jeff Teague on the other hand looks confused to me and is hesitant.

Joe's not the type of player that relies on his athleticism like some of the other stars. As long as he can stay in shape, maintain his stroke, and stay sharp mentally there's not going to be a big drop off. I do have my concerns, but my concern is how it may hold the organization back, because the ownership has yet to show they intend to pay the luxury tax.

I understand you are also a Mavs fan but Roddy B is not that good. Has talent but so does Teague.
