2/2: Raptors @ ATL

Post#1 » by ATL DirtyBird » Thu Feb 3, 2011 12:29 am

Hawks have already taken 4-5 defensive possessions off.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Hawks shooting very well early and lead by 4 at the end of 1. Sonny Weems was one of Toronto offensive bright spots with 6, probably because of the anti-weems thread they opened here.

Trying to steal my thunder with a late game thread, huh?

Raptors going to a zone. Lets watch the Hawks play like theyve never seen it before.

Can we give Jeff Teagues speed to someone who will utilize it properly?

As much as I dont like Marvin, I miss him. Mo is borderline useless. Can we trade him for some basketballs and a headband?

Raptors are terrible defensively but Hawks are sharing the ball very well tonight.

Nice first half for Joe Johnson and Al Horford.

Joe Johnson better be an all-star this year!

Tried to vary the offensive death lineup at the end of the 3rd by leaving Al out there with Jamal, Jeff, Damien, and Zaza. Still didn't work. Not sure what lineup is necessary to keep us from these dead scoring spans.

Some pundits have argued against Joe because of his slow shooting start to the season, but those same people push for Chris Bosh and he was practically worthless for the first month of the season. Media coverage always seems to hurt the Hawks cases for such rewards.

Refs missed what should have been an obvious goaltend on Davis. I worry every time something like that happens to Josh because it could affect his focus either way.

Mo had a pretty good game tonight. I'd say maybe his best this season but yes, I'd like Tookie back this Friday and in the lineup for the rest of the season.

I said this early in the game when he was playing bad. Then he scored 10 in the next quarter. Im willing to eat my words for the night.

I didn't get to watch the game, but how did we let Amir Johnson score 20 points on us? His offensive game is like... Josh Powell level.

Tipped rebounds or balls that just happen to land in his lap two inches from the rim, he had some leaks on the fastbreak and apparently is faster than anyone on our team. Like a cat that one.

Did it look like 14,025 people attended the game?
