Lol! I was thinking the same thing, but then it hit me, the 76ers don't get to enjoy moments like this often. Enjoy your win Philly fans.

First 16 Philadelphia 76ers games - 3-13

Last 35 Philadelphia 76ers games - 21 - 14

We've been enjoying the past couple months I guess :)

I do not about most of you, but I am completely disappointed with this team. For the second time in three weeks we had a huge lost at home. For the third or fourth time this month we had an unexpected lost that makes us go down in the East Conference Standings while our main rivals win.

In adittion we have all this problem with LD's opinon about posibly making changes in the starting lineup and recovering some players that usually do not play.
I believe the coach is not handling well the situation. I have ever seen a team in which a player goes so easily from starting (and may be playing 30 minutes) to not playing at all. Collins should not know what to expect and what to do of the coach's dedicisions.

The problem with the coach is that he took the easiest way by playing so many minutes with JJ and Crawford together, while giving so much importance to Josh and Al. And I say that was the easiest way because everybody knows that Crawford and JJ can get points, but do not get the rest of the team involved. We usually play the rythm the opponent wants while JSmoove and Al have to fight against bigger players. Developing Teague was probably the difficult way, but it would have paid off.

I think it is time for the coaching staff and GM to think about making changes. Our four best players play 2 and 2 on the same position while we do not have a real center or a real PG. It is time to make some trades, get the pieces we need and give some of the pieces that are duplicated.

Denver is trading Carmelo and, probably, also Nené. Carmelo probably only wants to resign with the NYK, but he did mention also the Hawks. Besides that, Nené and JR Smith would be great additions if we think that Crawford is finishing his contract and in this way we could have a 2 that stays here long term. Nené would be a great adittion.

I do not mean that we have to get for sure those players, but other teams are enquiring, thinking and we seem to be stand still waiting for the same facts to repeat: first PO round, exit in 5-6-7 games against Orlando or, as a maximum, a second round lost to Boston.

Are we waiting for the retirement of Garnett, Pierce and Allen to then make a push for the East crown? The Heat will be then in their prime.
I believe we need changes in order to upgrade or in order to rebuild. That is, if we are interested in winning. Because, may be, the owners are just interested in selling tickets and TV contracts. Then it makes sense to keep Josh and Al and Crawford.

In Woodson and Drew, we've hired 2 coaches who don't believe that a PG is necessary, that the motion offense will suffice.

Woodson backed off that - when he had to - and begged for Bibby. We took off. Now Bibby is fading and we're struggling, even with 4 players who are at or close to allstar level. It's pretty predictable, actually, especially in the 4th when everybody's defense tightens.

Drew, it seems to me, believes that Crawford is fine at the point position IN HIS OFFENSE. I truly believe he thinks Jamal will be our new point. By not developing Teague and not trading for a true PG, Drew has bet everything on Jamal Crawford fitting into our offense and our offense fitting into him.

Problem is, up to now, whenever Smoove has felt left out of the offense, he's begun to jack up jumpers BECAUSE NO PG IS SETTING HIM UP, Horford is settling for midrange jumpers BECAUSE NO PG IS SETTING HIM UP, Marvelous is standing around - staying out of the way - BECAUSE NO PG IS SETTING HIM UP.

And iso-Joe was all about Joe going one-against-the-world BECAUSE NO PG WAS SETTING HIM UP.

Drew might be right, but I don't think so.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

I do agree with you, of course.
But I believe we are done with all the different offensive possibilities coach Drew has in his thoughts and, to say the truth, they are not too many.
I see one can have his ideas, but I think that it is more than he is too limited to be a coach than that he prefers to play in this way. Powell, everytime he is on the court, offers solutions, midrange jumpers, rebounds, fast transitions, strong defense... Teague offers a set offense, quickness, goodhands... but both are out of LD's ideas. I even think that we would be able to give Bibby, Al or JSmoove in any trade for some player in other positions and Powell and Teague could get their minutes in the rotation.

I like the idea of starting Jamaal, but then our bench will be even weakier. I would love to see Collins at the 5, then Al at the 4 and Marvin at the 3 and JSmoove off the bench so he could enter the game for any of our three frontcourt players.
