The kid is averaging 11pts and 5 dimes a game (i think), and he doesn't even start.

This is just so very, very wrong.

No, I think he wouldn't. We need a PG who can break down a defense and create for Al and Josh. Gibson is a one trick pony who would be a younger (but not necessarily better defensively version of Bibby. He admittedly shoots well from outside, but sometimes jumpers don't fall and we see that too often which is why I think we need a penetrator.

Hawks already have two guys who can do that in Joe and Crawford

When i'm watching neither seems to get all the way to hole and neither creates greatly for others unless it is a spot up jumper. Sessions isn't perfect, but he's better than what we have.

if we do get Sessions he would instantly be the best point guard we have.

Sessions has 32 pts and 8 assists against the Lakers tonight. Not sure why Mo Williams played only a few minutes.

For everyone that doesn't like the Session idea, he just dropped 30 & 8 against the Lakers.

Session can actually defend. His last 5 games, he has 2-3 steals a game!

^ i'm for Sessions, as long as Joe is willing to give up the ball and not hog it like he does...... because if not, we are just going to have another Joe/Speedy situation, because Sessions and Speedy both can hit a three.

speedy may have worked if he could have stayed on the court. and Joe only dominates the ball because he has to.

Sessions is actually a terrible defender.

honestly, as long as Sund doesn't trade Horford or Smoove, i won't be too upset about any trade that might happen.

For the sake of asking, what would you expect to send back for Sessions? Keep in mind that he is young, on a very reasonable contract, and he is producing in a starters role. In other words, you will probably have to overpay.

Hence why I have a bad feeling our FO will overpay.

I don't know what you consider overpaying. A first round pick and one player who is not one of our rotational guys is all we can do. unless you want Marvin and then we would need Parker as well.

As a Cleveland fan I would be disgusted if they traded Sessions, much less for a guy like Marv. Guys like Marv come a dime-a-dozen in the NBA. There is no logical reason for the Cavs to trade Sessions.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

I don't think overpay is the idea for any Cavs players. Fact is, the Cavs are looking for picks and or young players. I don't think they are looking to moving anyone just for cap space. So no a late 2nd from you makes no sense to the cavs for Sessions. He's been playing well and frankly he's not a bad contract at all. Anyone on the team can be had though

If all we are offering is a 2nd round pick then we aren't being serious or more likely it is a combination of salary matched players and a 2nd round pick. In order to get the salary right it would likely include a young player who is a former 1st like Jordan Crawford or Jeff Teague.

Although he probably hasn't been mentioned in real talks, I think Marvin has more value than being given credit for. He shows some serious flashes, it's just that he doesn't stay assertive and I believe environment has a lot to do with it. He's always been junior to Josh and Joe and he's had the same core coaches all along. He could use a dramatic change to reach new heights. Give his age and upside he could be a good fit alongside JJ Hickson on the Cavs front line.
