Can Monta Ellis play PG beside Joe?

The trade board has several ideas about Monta Ellis for Josh Smith. While I wouldn't do it straight up the concept of a deal of Ellis and Biedrins for Smith and either Williams or Bibby over the summer intrigues me. The question I have is can Ellis function as a PG? I honestly don't know.

I would honestly prefer Josh to Monta. Josh brings a lot to the table when he has it going. Looks like Beidrins is dead... he hasn't had it going in a while.

Both Joe and Monta need the ball... i don't see them co-existing.

"Yes, we don't need a traditional PG" is right if we go back to full ISO play.
Even if we know that Joe and a shooting PG like Bibby works, we also know the limit.

The best would be one like Bibby, and one like Miller or Session, with Bibby as backup.
It would provide more options.

Pairing Ellis with Joe, I am afraid that there would not be enough shots for the other players, and I am not talking about the way they would play together.

I have some doubts on Harris, but have more on Ellis.
I would pick Curry 10 times over Ellis, even with a first pick added.

yeah, Joe and Monta would work.

Josh, Marvin, Zaza, for Monta, Gadzuric, Udoh, and a protected pick

i would say no, but i would have a hard time saying no to a deal like that.

Monta proved during the We Believe run and the subsequent year that he is willing to defer, especially to a guy like JJ who is a proven all star player..
