where are all the trade Kirk free Teague people now. after last nights game 1 I hope everyone see why we traded for Kirk. He is D12 do his thing. keep throwing all our bigs on him. if we still had bibby Jameer would have scored 40 points and teague wouldn't be able to stop him either.

don't think anybody hatted Kirk, for me, i hated the Kirk trade in regards to trading away the first round pick.

but i personally love the trade, not necessary because of Kirk, but because i like Kirk's contract as opposed to Ramon Sessions contract.

Easy to see Kirk's value last night. Crawford does not play defense, Nelson went off right after Kirk left. Just don't let Kirk around the ball in the last couple of minutes of a close game. He is uniquely talented in screwing up at the end of a close game. Doesn't matter if he played well or poorly before that. He has a long history of doing something stupid.

Not to be a language dick, but haters = one who hates, hatters = one who works with or wears hats.

Now that is out of the way. I think it was more people upset with giving up so much to get him. Essentially 2 1st rounders, Mike Bibby, and filler. That's an expensive price. Also he may unfairly gotten the blame for the teams sluggish finish. Defensively he was obviously an upgrade over Bibby and Jamal. That one stretch were Jameer lit up Jamal on like 4 straight plays was rough.

I disagree with your bashing of Teague though. He wasn't even given a chance to stay in from Jameer last night. He's shown that he can play decent D (no one can be truly play great D the way the rules are now called). He's just not trusted in other aspects of the game by the head coach to get any run right now.

Everybody hated the actual cost of getting Hinrich. The first could have really been a useful chip in helping us moving Marvin and Zaza for a better Center. I would actually like for us to pursue Kosta Koufous stil. But yeah, we spent too much just obtaining Capt. Kirk. He was worth getting though.

Threads like this make me regret coming to realgm during the playoffs. I'm happy he played well in the most important game of the season...but it's a 7 game series. Anyone who would change their stance on a trade/player based on just one playoff game is an idiot.

Crazy, overreaction threads have been made all season. Its annoying and makes it even more difficult to ahve an intellectual conversation about Hawks basketball. We need to have a mod or something that approves threads, because some of these threads are just ridiculous.

Go Hawks! :D
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Use one of the Kirk threads that have been active or the actual trade thread. I think the majority of the people on this board dislike what we gave up in the trade.
