^As I said earlier, we played in dresses.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

another thing that i think this team needs, that i think is realistic to get in the offseason, is a small forward who attacks the basket. The last thing this team needs is a small forward who shoots 2 point jumpshots all game.

I walked in the arena tonight to watch the second half. Josh Smith was about the only player on the team that was playing with any passion. ZaZa and Joe Johnson played decent from what I saw.

I agree, I saw the same thing.

Crawford had a bad game, but i like the way he played, he was struggling, but he was trying to make adjustments to at least try to contribute

Horford and Marvin are both useless but what is disappointing is that they both don't have heart and don't care.

I know it's hard on a bad loss to remain positive but the team did a lot this post season that deserve respect and engenders hope. I'm looking forward to next season in spite of the likely lockout and Larry Drew finishing out his contract. Jamal is probably gone and we likely can't make any real moves, but I contend the window is still open. I'll take a few days to lick my wounds and decompress and then I'll be back here posting what each player needs to work on to improve, what 2nd round steals we might be able to land, what d-league players could fill a role, maybe even what might be available overseas, and popular or not possible trade ideas. Essentially no stone unturned. I probably won't waste my time fantasizing about one-sided trades (like anything for Marvin, etc), spending the MLE, exceeding the luxury tax (maybe a little), or making a major coaching move. We essentially have our team and I'm going to support them. It was a bad final game, but it wasn't a bad series. And we won our first round series instead of just surviving it. I'd like be further along the playoff learning curve, but at least we're on it. Have faith and hold your heads high, it's not source of shame to be Hawks fan tonight!

i mean it was a great season, and we did more than alot of people expected. the Hawks competed and stood toe to toe against two contenders in the east in Orlando and Chicago. everybody thought the Hawks were going to get swept by the Magic and Bulls, but showed that this team has got some major talent in Josh and Teague, and showed that alot of guys on the team has a great basketball IQ.

I just wanted to push it to game seven, just not a good way to end the season because of one guy like Horford, not caring and playing lazy while everybody else on the team layed it on the floor tonight and played with passion.
