I dont know why u say Brokeback doesn't have a consistent advantage on most 2s to the point we're a lottery team.

and Joe is horrible at drawing contact whereas Williams excels at getting to the line.

Joe's best attribute is his size he's 6'8.25 and around 240-245.

I think you're blinded by Joe's isolation ball handling, which he wouldn't need if his arms weren't so short and he could extend and draw consistent contact in the post.

We're a mediocre .500 with Joe and we'd be mediocre .500 without him. Except we'd have more hope for filling out the roster with quality frontcourt players.

we can fill mout the roster with quality frontcourt players with jj on the team.

if we were to trade horford for pau gasol or bogut, we can replace horford with landry, chuck hayes, troy murphy, David West. any one of those would look good next to Pau or Bogu and smoove. we may even be able to get two of them. and with the Marvin and horford out for Pau we could also get Prince. if we move horford for bogut we could keep marvin. since you like him so much

if we do move Joe..... lottery draft here we come!!!!!!

I don't understand why you all don't see that

this is so delusional it is hilarious , last year, with Joe, the Hawks were .527, without Joe, the Hawks had 6 wins in 10 games, .600, and those wins were against playoff teams like the Griz, Sixers, Magic and Pacers.

Hawks are better when Joe is not playing, because he is like Westbrook,.... Marvin, Jamal, Horford, and Josh all play better and shoot a higher percentage with Joe is not on the floor.

with Joe, the Hawks shoot .462FG and .352 from three, without Joe, the Hawks shoot .467 and .385 from three. the Hawks play better team ball, passing and getting everybody involved like the Mavs, averaging 23 apg and 12 turn overs per game, without Joe. with Joe their is less ball movement and more ball hogging, the Hawks average 21apg and 14 turn overs per game.

the Hawks couldn't make the lottery if Joe left, because the Hawks are a better team without Joe. all the numbers and game film shows that the Hawks are better when Joe is not acting like Westbrook.

even if you are right and the Hawks do make the lottery, it would be a whole lot better to let Joe walk and go lottery than keep him, because with Joe's horrible season, right now, Anthony Davis, Harrison Barnes, McAdoo, Perry Jones, Quincy, Lamb, Beal, Gilchrist, Adonis Thomas.... are all better than Joe hands down. pairing Anthony Davis with a prime Horford and Smith would be a dynasty.

We'd be way over the LT but we'd have a decent big man. I think Asik will grow into a starter. CHI struck gold when they traded for him and I'd love to mine that gold.

I don't see Chicago giving up their top potential player, I think Chicago sees Omer Asik as their Center of the future while putting Joakim in the PF roll, but that of course is if Omer manages to get better during the summer. Pluse we've already had Jamal Crawford and I don't see us wanting him back.

Without Joe, I believe we would have been an 8th seed at best or winding up with a very late lotto pick.. if you are going lottery, you should get at least a top 8 pick, and if you are in the playoffs, then you should be competent enough to beat the top seeds, which we are if we are playing smart ball..

Marvin came into the league as an athlete. Have you seen what Billy Knight saw?

I don't see him any better than 20 of the league's current small forwards. He is so far down the list that he will not even be ranked next year. He is closer to being out of the league than he is being a star. I don't understand the 'hope' that Marvin has something he has yet to show. Marvin as a 2G? Really? He is the one that needs to slow down Kobe and LeBron, yet he comes nowhere near being able to keep them from blowing by him.

If we lose Joe, we are lottery bound? Good, the nucleus we have now is not going to get it done. The cap restrictions building will not get it done. We need better, cheaper talent. Let someone else deal with Joe's contract. Let someone else let Al play PF only. Chicago got better because of a correct draft pick. Can Atlanta finally get a draft pick that gets us an elite player? Joe and Al are not elite.

Why can't we see that the Hawks are in one of the worse cap situations going forward? They aren't going to exceed the cap, so when it drops 10-15M / year, guess what the team will look like?

The core is the core is the core. It is a faulty core.
