It's only a threat, but it's an interesting thought. If the union decertifies, then wipe out all contracts made under through the union. Without a union the individual players would be able to sue, but I imagine the league would follow with a system to structure how teams sign individuals since they no longer belong to a union. Like I said it is just a threat, but in light of that threat I would bet Joe Johnson and Marvin Williams support the latest offer from the league.
